The Kuilsriver Open (a premier amateur event) is scheduled to be
played his Sunday 9 June 2019.
Reminder to book your Singles Challenge matches.
The cutoff date for the first round has been extended to 30 June 2019.
Please note, this is not a knock out competition and all winners and
losers will move to the next round playing within a different division in
your handicap group.
A slight change to the rules sees Players being allowed to select the tee
they want to play off, but they must record their handicap accordingly.
Both player DO NOT have to play off the same tee.
Security Booms
Reminder to collect your tag at the office.
In order to enhance the security at the club it has been decided to implement
an electronic tag system on the member’s boom at the main entrance (left
boom).
The tags will be registered on the member’s name and can be purchased
from the office as of Monday 3 June 2019 at a cost of R40.
The tag system will be fully operation as of 1 July 2019. It is important to note
that members will be required to sign in at security should they not have a tag
as at 1 July.
A great win by our team against what could be deemed the strongest opposition in our League. They beat Milnerton 4,5 & 3,5. This weekend our match will be against Cape Peninsula and will be played on Sunday, not Saturday. Cape Peninsula are currently 1 point behind us so we’re in for another very tough match. Come on boys, make us proud again! The Sunday team for this match, shows 1 change with Juan Morison coming in, in place of Ryno Olivier who is not available. Our league team playing in the Winelands Senior League are really doing
well this year. Not a single match has been lost to date. We beat a very
strong Paarl golf team on Thursday 30 May at the Strand golf course 3½ -
1½. Club 55 wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude for the support
received by our Kuilsriver club. Our league team consist entirely from

comes into effect on 8 June 2019 as per the newsflash email and sms sent
out on Tuesday 4 June 2019.If like many other South Africans, you are glued to your TV when the Voice comes on, you would have seen and heard of Tasche Burger from Brackenfell. Well, our club manager, Marthinus Jacobs, is the very proud grandfather of Tasche. The voice is currently busy with the live shows where the contestants depend on votes from the public to advance to the next stage, So, let’s all rally behind Tasche and give her the votes she deserves.
