                                                  RULES
All amateur and professional photographers, regardless of their nationality, can participate.

1 – THEME

The competition will consist of three sections:

A - Monochrome

B - Color

C - Travel (monochrome and color)

You may submit up to 4 photographs by subject. The technique is completely free. You may not be
presented the same picture on every issue, nor photographs presented in previous editions.

Authors who do not meet all the conditions of participation and / or have not made the payment of
registration fees, their works will not be evaluated by the jury.

DEFINITION OF THE BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY (MONOCHROME) A black and white work
fitting from the very dark grey (black) to the very clear grey (white) is a monochrome work with the various
shades of grey. A black and white work toned entirely in a single colour will remain a monochrome work
able to stand in the black and white category; such a work can be reproduced in black and white in the
catalogue of a salon under FIAP Patronage. On the other hand a black and white work modified by a partial
toning or by the addition of one colour becomes a colour work (polychrome) to stand in the colour category;
such a work requires colour reproduction in the catalogue of a salon under FIAP Patronage.

DEFINITION OF TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY A Photo Travel image must express the feeling of a time and
place, and portray a land, its distinctive features or culture in its natural state. There are no geographical
limitations. Close-up pictures of people or objects must include distinguishable environment. Techniques
that add to, relocate, replace or remove any element of the original image, except by cropping, are not
permitted. All adjustments must appear natural. Conversion to full monochrome is acceptable. Derivations,
including infrared, are unacceptable.

Only digital files are accepted.

The images will be in jpg format, whose maximum size is 3000 horizontally and not more than 2000
vertically with a resolution of 254 ppi, not exceeding 2 Mb. Recommending the sRGB color space.

The participants in the case to be rewarded or selected will send photos to print higher resolution if they are
required for exposure are reminded.

The winning photographs will become property of the City Council for their library. It reserves the right to
reproduce freely (catalogs, posters, press, reports, etc ...), non-profit and quoting the author's name / a.

Contestants certify the authorship of their works and are fully responsible that no rights of third parties and
all claims for image rights of the works presented.

2 - REGISTRATION AND SHIPPING

Only through the platform for that purpose by the Internet.

The image files will be identified only with the title of the work.

3 - RIGHTS OF PARTICIPATION

Payment for participation is 20€ regardless of the number of photos submitted and will be made only by
PayPal.

4 - AWARDS - A total of 82 awards

Honor Prize - 1200 €, Trophy and FIAP Blue Badge, the author with the highest number of acceptances.

The prize money will be subject to current tax legislation, applying the legally established deductions.

Each author will receive by email the result information, also will be posted on the competition website the

A PDF brochure with the winning works and a large number of works of all participants will be published.

8 – CALENDAR

- Deadline for registration: May 19

- Jury's decision: May 24, 25 and 26

- Notification of failure: June 15

- Delivery of prizes and catalogs: July 31

9 - ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES

Participation in this competition implies acceptance of each and every one of the contest and the final
decision of the jury. Any case not provided for in these rules shall be decided by the Organization

NOTES:

With the sole act of submitting his/her images or files to a salon under FIAP Patronage, the entrant
accepts without exception and with no objection that the submitted images can be investigated by
FIAP to establish if these obey to FIAP regulations and definitions even if the entrant is not a
member of FIAP; that FIAP will use any means at its disposal for this undertaking; that any refusal
to cooperate with FIAP or any refusal to submit the original files as captured by the camera, or
failure to provide sufficient evidence, will be sanctioned by FIAP and that in case of sanctions
following the non compliance with FIAP regulations, the name of the entrant will be released in any
form useful to inform the breaches of the rules. It is recommended to leave the EXIF data in the
submitted files intact in order to ease eventual investigations.
