PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE DECEMBER 2022 WOW DID THIS YEAR FLY BY……. First and foremost, I want to wish all those that are going through life’s speedbumps nothing but prayers and well wishes. Especially, Douglas Lombardi, Dan Landry, Jim Tondra, Ed Briggs, and anyone else that needs our prayers. Our CCRI family is there for you – we are praying for you and wish you peace and comfort. I want to take a moment and thank each member of my team, Board of Directors, Activities, Quartermasters, NCM, Hospitality, Sunshine, Membership, News Editor, Sgt. Of Arms and Show Committee, for their hard work in volunteering their time to make this Club to what it is. Thank you, the Members, for your love and support in all that we try to do in making this an enjoyable Club. This weekend I had my team at my home for a lovely appreciation night and we had a wonderful time. I want to thank Mario and Teresa Branco and the entire Membership that go over and above for our Charites each year. It was a wonderful year and every event including a well wish drive, was so well attended. That shows me that we are doing something right. Next year is already in the works with our first Social to the Salem Cross Inn (winter getaway weekend). More information to come on this. We hope to have more winter breakfasts planned and will be meeting right after Christmas for the year’s events. Be patient, stay well and get healthy so you can join in the festivities monthly. I want to thank our Sponsor Paul Masse and the Masse group for their continued support to the Corvette Club of Rhode Island. I am thrilled they will be joining us at our meeting this Tuesday to donate toys to the Marines. I hope you will consider joining us on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, for our last meeting of the year. We welcome any ideas for activities, so be sure to reach out to our Directors Linda and Elizabeth who have done an amazing job alongside our activities team. Membership is passing the reigns to Guy Comastra, and we are wishing Guy nothing but success in this new role. Dennis Langlois your VP has done an outstanding job as Membership Director for the past ten years – and I know with his guidance, Guy will do a great job. Thank you for enriching my life as your President and friend…. I cannot tell you how humble I am in representing the Corvette Club of Rhode Island as your President. On behalf of the Board of Directors, their significant others and myself, we are wishing each of you a very blessed, healthy, and happy Holiday and New Year. LILIANA V. DOLAN, PRESIDENT SAVE THE WAVE WITH ANGELS ON YOUR SHOULDERS ALWAYS. 3
