Please Note – No continental breeding in animals pedigree for All TIHA Classes Class 1 . T.I.H.A. LIMERICK MATRON CHAMPIONSHIP KINDLY SPONSORED BY: Mr. Jim Bolger Open to : Limerick Lady Qualifiers (1) Mares of Traditional Irish Breeding who have achieved Select/Premier Broodmare Status in the ISH Stud book (2) Thoroughbred Mares with National Hunt Pedigree, in foal or with a foal at foot by : (a) Approved Irish Sport Horse Stallions provided that such stallions are of Thoroughbred/ I.D. cross (b) Class 1. Connemara Pony Stallions (c) Class 1 , I.D. Stallions or Class 2 I.D. Stallions approved in the I.S.H. Stud Book. (3) Irish Draught Mares who have achieved Class 1, or R.I.D. status in the I.D. Horse Stud Book, aged 3 years old and over, PROVIDED that they are in foal to or have a foal at foot by : (a) Approved thoroughbred Stallions listed in the IHR
(B) Approved Irish Sport Horse Stallions PROVIDED that such stallions are of Thoroughbred/I.D. cross (c) Class 1. Connemara Pony Stallions Conditions: 1. For mares with foal at foot, covering details for 2017, signed and dated by the stallion owner, MUST be entered in the mare’s passport and available for inspection on show day. 2. Mares without a foal at foot MUST have a current pregnancy certificate, signed and dated by a Veterinary Surgeon, together with a certificate of covering, signed and dated by the stallion owner available on show day for inspection. 3. Failure to comply with these regulations with lead to disqualification PRIZE FUND: Champion €500 & the T.I.H.A. Perpetual Challenge Trophy, Reserve : €250 . 3rd. €150, 4th: €100 Best 3Yr. Old €100 ( if not the Champion or Reserve) Best Turned Out Handler & Animal: €100 ENTRY FEE to Championship €25 - Closing Date August 17h. LIMERICK LADY CHAMPIONSHIP Entry Fee €25 Conditions: (a) For two year old Traditionally Bred Fillies, suitable for producing High Quality Traditionally Bred Sport Horses (i. e. No continental breeding in their pedigrees) (b) Fillies must have been registered as foals in the I.H.R. as foals MUST be by : Approved : Thoroughbred Stallions, Connemara Stallions, ISH Stallions, Irish Draught Stallions OR any cross of the aforementioned. © Dams of the fillies must also be by the Stallions as above & registered in the I.H.R. (d) All exhibitors must have their fillie’s passports available for inspection at the Qualifying show and at the Championship (e) Entry fee to Qualifier €15, Entry fee to Championship €25 (f) Each filly selected at the qualifying shows is eligible to compete in the T.I.H.A. Three Year Old Traditionally Bred Potential Sport Horse Class (Shown in Hand) Kindly sponsored by Devenish Nutrition Aim of Class: To identify the highly desirable , good looking, saleable horse of Traditional Irish Breeding with potential for a variety of fields and to assist the breeders/trainers and producers to present their 3 Year Old animals to the best advantage for modern competitions and the market place. Horses will be required to jump a fence on the lunge . ( Max Height 1m. approx. ) Prize Fund : 1st : €500 , 2nd €300, 3rd €200, 4th € 125, 5TH €100, 6TH €50 Best Turned Out Handler & Animal : €100 Entry Fee €25 A photocopy of the traditionally bred FULL pedigree must accompany the entry form and the fee Passports MUST be available for inspection on show day NO PASSPORT – NO SHOW! Entry Fee €25 – A photo copy of the traditionally bred FULL PEDIGREE must accompany the entry form and the fee. Passports MUST be available for inspection on show day. NO PASSPORT – NO SHOW! *Class 8. T.I.H.A. Hunter Performance (Subject to T.I.H.A. securing sponsorship) (Reminder: No continental Breeding in animals pedigree for all TIHA Classes). The aim of this class is to encourage a higher standard of production in the 5 year olds’ and upwards traditionally bred horses, with a view to increasing their market value for the home and export markets. Horses competing in this class should be quality animals, well mannered, athletic, careful and capable of jumping a course of fences to include working hunter /show jumping style (max. height 1.10m) . They will be required to display smooth upward and downwards transitions to include leg yielding, lengthening and shortening at canter over fences , landing on correct leads and at all times showing good balance, self carriage and rhythm. Prize Fund: Champion: €1000 – of which €200 to the breeder, Reserve : €500 – of which €100, 3rd: €300 – of which €100 to the breeder, 4th: €125- of which €50 to the Breeder, 5th. €75- of which €25 to the Breeder Entry Fee €40 – A photo copy of the traditionally bred FULL PEDIGREE must accompany the entry form and the fee Passports MUST be available for inspection on show day NO PASSPORT – NO SHOW!

TIHA Small Hunter Performance Class (Terms and conditions similar to the previous class) Prize Fund: Champion : €500 & €125 to the breeder, Reserve : €300 & €75 to the breeder, 3rd: €175 & €50 to the breeder, 4th: €100 & €50 to the breeder, 5th: €75 & €50 to the breeder Max. Height of Fences €90cms. Class 10. T.I.H.A. DERBY CLASS (Subject to securing sponsorship) Open to Traditionally Bred animals 4 years old and over. Riders must be over 16years of age. Competitors will be required to jump a variety of fences ( Average height 1m approximately). In the event of equal scores – TIME will decide. Prize Fund: 1st €250, 2nd €150, 3rd €80, 4th €€60 5th €40 Entry Fee €25 – A photo copy of the traditionally bred FULL PEDIGREE must accompany the entry form and the fee Passports MUST be available for inspection on show day NO PASSPORT – NO SHOW!
