Updated details will be available to attendees at the trial. At this time, we plan to take the following precautions: If still in force, the current executive order will require unvaccinated exhibitors to wear face coverings when within six feet of judges and other people not a part of their households. Adult terriers may not cross-enter between regular racing classes, veteran racing classes and senior racing classes. There are some changes in the 2020 Rulebook regarding championship races. Racing champions are determined by a run-off of the first-place terrier in each class in each section. Qualifications for championship run off: a. Terrier must FINISH BOTH a flat and a hurdle race as defined in rule 8 (reaches backside of the barrier unassisted by the owner). b. Terrier must place first in the final race for that class. First place may be in flats and/ or hurdles. c. Terrier who has not entered or FINISHED a race in both flats and hurdles is not eligible for championship runoff and the second-place terrier qualifies for championship runoff if that terrier meets the criteria listed above. The 2020 rulebook is available at www.therealjackrussell.com/trial/rulebook.php. For other information about racing, go to www.therealjackrussell.com/trial/racing.php.
