Dear Parent Welcome to this guide which outlines the school uniform policy. We have very high standards in everything we do, and we want your child to look as smart as possible at all times. Wearing smart uniform helps to create the right conditions for learning and enables our child to take pride in belonging to our community. We are very proud of our students and the high standards of their uniform and we know that you are too! Where can I buy uniform from? Uniform items displaying the Swindon Academy logo or college colours are available to purchase at Monkhouse Schoolwear Specialists, 1B Plaza 21, Sanford Street, Swindon, SN1 1HE. All items must be bought from them to ensure constancy of colour and style. These items are the Maroon Blazer, college coloured PE top, navy blue skort, navy blue shorts, college tie and jumper (optional). The rest of the uniform can be bought from any other retailer. Your support Your support is really valued and important for the success of your child. If you are unsure about any items of uniform, please check with the school before purchasing it. Bags We expect every student to bring a bag to school that is big enough to contain an A4 folder, their books and equipment so that they are ready to learn. It is a basic expectation that every student should have their PE kit with them on days they have PE. By carrying a sensible school bag, students can ensure that books and other equipment are well looked after and in a fit state for work. A second bag is recommended for PE kit especially as this will keep potentially damp/dirty clothes away from books. PE Bags
