YEAR 8 SPORT The college sport program provides students with an opportunity to participate in a variety of different sports and activities each year. Our sport program is a compulsory and important aspect of schooling at Bishop Druitt College. All activities are fully supervised by qualified staff and where necessary, additional instructors and coaches. Water-based activities are assessed on weather conditions, student ability levels and adjusted accordingly. There are no water-based activities that are unstructured or unsupervised. Students have been sent information about sports available in 2021 and have completed the selection process. Students have made choices for the whole year but will be given the opportunity to change sports several weeks before each term commences, if they change their mind from the original sport selected, it is up to students to use this period to change. There are no changes allowed outside these time frames. Our Monday Sport program is included as part of our college tuition fee. It is not an additional cost to families. Sport selections for 2021 have been finalised and an email will be sent to parent lounge asking parents to accept giving their son/daughter permission to participate in the sport program for 2021. This permission only needs to be done once for the whole year of 2021. All students received the sports they nominated in the process and this will appear in their timetable . Should you have further questions please contact the teacher in charge of Monday Sport, Ms Kellie Reinhold kreinhold@bdc.nsw.edu.au If you son/daughter trialled for an Academy Sport they will receive communication and their sport will be adjusted if necessary for the relevant terms. No additional emails will be needed after accepting permission for the year. Should you have further questions please contact the teacher in charge of Monday Sport, Ms Kellie Reinhold.
