Bibs and Chips Free Technique Interval Start: S Bib Pick Up by Team / Club. S 8:30 to 10:00 am outside race office upstairs. S 1 person per Team / Club for pick-up. S Pick up chip on the way to the start. Athlete must show their bib. S Bibs and chips will be collected by a volunteer at the finish. There is a $100 replacement fee for lost bibs or chips. Athlete will not be allowed to race until payment is made or bib/chip is returned.

Course Info Stadium: S Start lane + late start lane S No double pole zone S 4 lanes to the finish 4 Courses: S Black 2.5 km – Mini-Midgets S Purple 3.5 km – Midgets S Orange 3.75 km – Open Women 2 laps S Red 5 km – Open Men 2 laps; Juv. Boys and Girls 1 lap (removing the Grunt) S All courses will be fully v-boarded. Athletes will not need to make any decisions. Warm Up / Cool down: S Kirsti’s K Loop – Direction of travel is counter-clockwise S A marshal will direct traffic. S Wax testing on Bully Barn and Warm up Loop. Day 3 Start List S US athletes will be seeded based on Saturday’s race results. S Start list will be available Saturday afternoon on zone4 by 3:00 pm S Any discrepancies must be messaged or emailed to the Competition Secretary by 4:00 pm. marlersteph@yahoo.ca or (807) 474-6126.

S 4 lanes to the finish 4 Courses: S Red 5 km – Open Men (3 laps); Open Women (2 laps) S Orange 3.75 km – Junior B/G (2 laps); Juv B/G (2 laps) S Blue 5 km – Midget B/G S Black 2.5 km – Mini-Midget B/G Technique and Turning Zones: S 1 technique zone at the top of Klukie Line S Several turning zones.

Coach Bibs Coach bibs allowed on course during race: S No pacing S Don’t ski in packs S Ski only in the direction of the race Course closed at 9:15 am After coaches’ meeting see Victor Wiltmann if you need a bib. 2 bibs per club. Bibs need to be returned to the race office by 1:00 pm. $50 fine if not returned.

TD Comments Shawn Sinclair Reminder technique and turning zones: S Technique: diagonal stride or herringbone without glide S Turning: looking for: S A good edge on the outside ski S Inside ski turning in a new direction with flat ski or on outside edge. The inside ski should never be on an inside edge.
