In 2018, the Ryder Cup took place in France at the Golf National in Saint- Quentin en Yvelines. In 2021, from the 2nd to the 6th of August, this prestigious course will welcome another wonderful event: the XXXIX ESGA Seniors Team Championship. The Cup will be played on a nearby very famous golf at Saint-Nom La Breteche. The French Senior Golfers Association is extremely honored and proud to organize the Championship and the Cup close to Paris! Everything will be done to ensure this event is a great success and European nation’s teams are greeted in a sportsmanship and friendly spirit. We hope you are going to be thrilled by the fairways and will also be able to take advantage of the many attractions Paris has to offer, not to mention the treasures of Versailles. In 1959, these premises, 20 kms from Paris, were converted to give birth to the renowned Golf Club of Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche. Host of the Trophée Lancôme for thirty-four years, it quickly attracted the best golf players in the world. Golf Courses Championship Golf National Guyancourt Hosting since 1991 the French open, a major stop in the European calendar, and hosting in 2018 the Ryder Cup, Albatros course at Golf National combines all traditional aspects of a links course with modern characteristics of target golf. Fast greens, undulated fairways and many bunkers and water hazards require a large variety of shots and the use of every club in the bag, especially on the last four very specular holes. https://www.golf-national.com/en/albatros-course Cup Golf de Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche Instated close to Versailles in 1959 by Daniel Féau with the help of prominent golfing families like the Mourgue d’Algue, Lacoste or Frayssineau, Saint-Nom la Bretèche quickly became one of the greatest French golf clubs, and hosted major amateur and professional golfing events. In 1963, aged of only ten years, it hosted the Canada Cup followed by three French Opens in 1965, 1969, and 1984. Then, for thirty four years it hosted the Trophée Lancôme witch gathered many of the world’s top men golfers. Since 2009, it has hosted 3 times the Vivendi Seve Trophy which opposes every other year UK and the rest of Europe. https://www.golfdesaintnomlabreteche.com Presidents and Ladies competition Golf du RCF La Boulie Versailles Presidents and Ladies competition will be played on the golf de La Boulie, Racing Club de France, located just outside Versailles. Created in 1901, this is the oldest golf course in the Paris area.
