Hello Muree Members,
2020 is coming to an end and I doubt too many will remember the
year of COVID fondly. But all we can do is put it behind us and look
forward to a better 2021!

We wrapped up the year with our Christmas 5 person Ambrose
event which saw some great golf played by several teams, but
more importantly everyone appeared to have fun. Congratulations
to our winning teams and also a huge thank you to the Directors
and volunteers who assisted on the day. Check out of facebook
page to see photos from the day.

A couple of points for members to be aware of;

 Members points earned before April 2020 will expire on
 31/12/2020, so if you have points to use I suggest you drop
 into the Club or Pro Shop and use them.

 Mad Asia is closed from now until 02/01/2021, during which
 only light snacks will be available in the Club.

BrewHAHA will be rocking the Club from 8pm on New Year’s Eve
and I hope to see as many members as possible on the night to
welcome in 2021.

Merry Christmas to everyone in the Muree family and I look
forward to seeing you in the club or on the course!

Both Frank Musgrove (Middle Back) and
Lee Clark (Front Left) are seen in this
photo proudly representing Muree and
are still valued members of the club
today.

Mr Clark told me; “That was our first
Pennant win. At that time Dick Wilson
would have been the strongest player closely
followed by Frank. The course was pretty
rough and sandy in those days.”

How good do the new Pro Shop
signs look!

arranging them.

Massive thanks to Andrew Berry for
putting the signs up. Happy to
report Andrew and Lee sustained no
injuries in the process much to the
surprise of onlookers.

A WORD FROM OUR CAPTAIN

 Stretch is on holiday enjoying the golf courses in Canberra. He will be
 back in 2021 to provide input.

 Royal Canberra is the top ranked ACT golf course, formed in 1926,
 Golf Australia stated; “Australians have often compared Royal Canberra to
 Augusta. It was lush, tree-lined and undulating like Augusta and I guess felt
 more like an American golf course than an Australian one.”
