Important Information for Competitors Turn-Out Award All Open individuals should present after their dressage to be judged for the Best Turned out award. Intermediate Junior and Under 12 teams should present at show jumping tack inspection as a team, to be judged for the Best Turned Out Team award. Intermediate, Intro Intermediate, Junior and Under 12 Individuals should present at show jumping tack inspection, to be judges for the Best Individual Turn Out award. Passport and Scanning Check After each team has completed their Show Jumping Round please report for Passport and Scanning Check, which will be located adjacent to the show jumping arenas. Cross Country Course Inspection The cross-country course will be open from 4 p.m. on Friday. Please do not climb over, sit on any fences or tamper with numbers, flags or decorations. Prizegiving No prize giving due to Covid-19 Guidelines, all prices will be available to collect at IPC Office 40 mins after posting of final results by D.C or nominated person.
Irish Pony Club Eventing Committee: Richard Kehoe (Chairman), Ivan Hatton, Evelyn Whyte, Samantha McGuire, Margaret Hutchinson, Noreen Lombard, Linda Thompson, Christine Brooks, Patricia Finnan, Breda Murphy, Jacinta Reville and Gillian Atkinson Queries Queries should be brought initially to the attention of the Event Secretary by the official Branch Representative. Queries must be made not later than half an hour after the scores have been published. Objections to Dressage scores must be made no later than 1 hour after the score sheets have been released. If after explanation the issue is not resolved an objection should be lodged in writing with a deposit of €50. The Chief Steward shall give his/her decision in the first instance. If this is not accepted, the Jury of Appeal shall give their decision after investigation. This decision is final. The Jury of Appeal The Jury of Appeal shall consist of any three of the following: Mr. Michael Essame (Chairman of the Irish Pony Club), Mr. Richard Kehoe (Chairman of Eventing), Chief Steward of the Discipline involved or any member of the Eventing Committee. The competitor concerned must be present and accompanied by his/her District Commissioner or official Branch representative as designated on the entry form.
Irish Pony Club Eventing Rules 2.7 DISQUALIFICATION The Official Steward, Cross Country Steward or the Chief Judge may disqualify a competitor at any stage of the competition for any of the following: • Dangerous riding • If, in his opinion, the horse is lame, sick or exhausted • For misuse of whip or spur, or ill-treatment of horse • For unseemly behaviour, including bad language, rudeness or aggression or for any breach of the Rules • For directly questioning any judges on their decisions about any competitor. (For correct procedure see rule 3.17 Queries and Objections) 3.17 QUERIES AND OBJECTIONS Queries must be made as soon as is reasonably possible after the incident which gave rise to them. Queries on dressage scores must be made not later than 1 hour after the score-sheets have been released. It is essential that queries on results should be made as soon as they have been posted, but within 30 minutes, in order to allow the Official Steward and the Scoring Team the necessary time to investigate the matter. Any query to final scores must be lodged within 30 minutes of the final results having been posted. There will be no change of results after the day of competition. The onus is on the competitor to ensure that his result has been accurately recorded on the official score sheet before he/she leaves the venue. District Commissioners or their appointed representative, Area Representatives or Officials of the Event are entitled to lodge a query in writing on the appropriate form which will be provided by the Secretary on request. Video evidence will not be considered. The Secretary will inform the Official Steward who will then give his decision on the matter. If the decision of the Official Steward is not accepted then the Jury of Appeal will consider the objection and after investigation their decision will be final the originator may amplify his case before the Jury of Appeal but will not be present at their deliberations. €50 must accompany the objection and will be forfeited
unless the Jury of Appeal decides that there were good and reasonable grounds for the objection.
