ELEVATE YOUR GAME COVID-19 SAFETY GUIDELINES These guidelines will be communicated to Coaches, Participants, and Parents/Guardians through email and posted on our website at www.ohmsportsacademy.com
PARENT, PLAYER, COACH SAFETY GUIDELINES Before leaving the house for an Ohm Sports Academy activity, participants, coaches, parents, and caregivers must complete the following symptom check: ● Ensure Player Temporal Temperature is below 100.4 ● Confirm player does not have a cough, shortness of breath, lack of smell/taste, or have unusual tiredness Anyone entering the facility at RCTC must complete the “MN State Covid Self-Assessment”. At the entrance visitors must present proof they completed the form. Your proof is the green confirmation email you get. Click either link below to complete the “Covid Self-Assessment” for each day you enter the facility and show us your “green” at the door. (it only takes a minute and is real simple). https://mnscu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3UIFP1J0nZMeLeB https://www.rctc.edu/coronavirus/ **Each day of camp participants are required to forward your "green" confirmation to Joe Ohm, Covid Coordinator (joe@ohmsportsacademy.com). Please do this 2 hours prior to start of camp. This is a requirement by MN state colleges. Players, Parents, and Coaches with elevated temperature (over 100.4) or any symptoms must refrain from participation, self-quarantine, and wait 7 days to see if symptoms resolve. If symptoms have not resolved they are suggested to follow up with primary care providers. If after 7 days they are symptom-free, they may return to the next Ohm Sports Academy activity. Players, Parents, and Coaches must use hand sanitizer as they enter before starting an activity and post activity, bring their own water bottle, and refrain from using drinking fountains or sharing their water bottle with others. Hand
sanitizer will be provided at the camp entrance and in the gym. PARENT, PLAYER, COACH SAFETY GUIDELINES Coaches will place players into “pods” on each court for camp. PLAYERS SHOULD BRING OWN BASKETBALL and WATER BOTTLE. Parents must stay until the participant is checked in. Bring extra face coverings to practice so athletes can replace wet or soiled face coverings. Face-covering guidance does allow for people to remove their face covering if they are having trouble breathing. If an athlete needs to take their mask off, they should take a break from play, and find an area where they can sit down and be physically distanced before removing the face covering. Athletes should stop activity if they are feeling overly fatigued, dizziness, headache, muscular weakness, or drowsiness. Everyone must follow the current Marks mandate for indoor facilities, so masks are currently required by all persons at all times unless they meet the exceptions in MN Department of Heath guidance document https://www.health.state.mn.us/diseases/coronavirus/sportsjan4.pdf
ARRIVING AND LEAVING THE VENUE ● Participants should remain outside the front entrance (East Doors) until the camp coordinator arrives to check them in. ● Camp start times will be staggered, so one camp has left the venue before the next group of campers arrive. ● Coaches will be required to conduct the symptom check (detailed in Symptom Check Procedures) prior to the start of the activity and/or allowing players to enter activity space and follow social distancing exit procedures. ● Due to the City of Rochester’s mask policy. Players and Parents MUST wear a mask while arriving at camp upon entering the building. Participants, Coaches, Parents and Caregivers must wear a mask inside at all times. ● Everyone should enter and exit through the designated areas that are different from each other. Entrance and exits will be marked. One parent or caregiver will need to check-in participants at the entrance. Enter through East doors at RCTC Sports Center. ● Prohibit any gathering and congregating in or around the venue. All participants must maintain six feet distance from any other person. ● Parents and caregivers need to pick up participants in a timely manner at the end of camp. No lingering.
COACHES PRE-ACTIVITY CHECK AND PROCEDURES The camp coordinator will need to collect the approved proof of screening from all the team participants each day prior to arrival at the facility. 1. A list of participant names for that day and statement in email attesting that all participants have provided proof of screening to the group/team coordinator should be sent to the Director of Sports Facilities michael.sheggeby@rctc.edu a minimum of 1 hour prior to start of rental time otherwise rental will be canceled. The daily participant list will need to be specific to each day and not a generic sign up list. List should only contain the names of those participants that group/team coordinator received the approved proof of screening for that specific day. 2. The group/team coordinator and any other adult coaches or spectators will be the only ones that need to show proof of screening at the front entrance. If there are minor spectators, the adult caregiver will need to show a separate screening for that child spectator as the participant list only applies to those part of the participating group/team. 3. Participants should remain outside the front entrance checkpoint until the group/team coordinator arrives to check them in. The group/team coordinator then must remain at the front desk until all participants on the list are checked in. 4. Once all participants are checked in by the group/team coordinator they will leave a signed copy of that check in sheet with the front entrance desk. The signed copy is again a confirmation that only those on that list are entering the facility and that the group/team coordinator is attesting that all participants have provided the approved proof of screening prior to arrival at the facility. Coaches must ensure players use hand sanitizer prior to beginning an Ohm Sports Academy activity or entering a facility and following the activity. Coaches will follow specific exit procedures following an Ohm Sports Academy activity so that their group does not come in contact with another group.
COACHES CAMP SAFETY GUIDELINES 1. Drills will focus on individual skill development. 2. Groups will be 25 or less on each court/pod. There will be no intermixing between groups/pods. 3.
