What we are doing and why The Our Stories Are Your Stories grassroots awareness campaign highlights the unique voices and stories of our AAPI community to encourage understanding, empathy, and connection. Hollis Wong Wear, Dr. Vin Gupta, Yuji Okamoto, Lauren Tran, and others provide us with personal, touching, and sometimes surprising, narratives about their respective life journeys. We are excited to share their stories with the community. Your stories deserve to be heard as well. Together we can share our true AAPI experience. Making your oral history video Thank you for adding your voice to the Our Stories Are Your Stories campaign so that it can be shared on social media channels, using the hashtags: @OurStoriesAreYourStories, #OSAYS, and @winglukemuseum. Posting on social media After making your video, post on social media with your own personal caption and be sure to tag @OurStoriesAreYourStories or @OSAYS_AAPI on Twitter, and @winglukemuseum. Please also include “My story is our story. What’s yours? #OSAYS” at the end of the post copy. You can include #OSAYS and any other hashtags that you’d like such as #AAPIHM and #AAPI. We will watch for your posts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Thoughts on each: Instagram is highly visual and good if your Facebook – stronger traffic driver, better video is short.
