We are delighted to recognize these notable women who have demonstrated exceptional community service and leadership, and have made a positive and lasting impact on our community. We also will pay tribute to our seventy former Women with a Heart for Bakersfield honorees. They all share Garden Pathways’ heart for Bakersfield. garden pathways COMMUNITY IMPACT Garden Pathways’ trauma informed approach to “building community from the inside out” fosters the healing process among the most vulnerable individuals. This enables them to become healthy, productive community members growing in education, leadership, and self-sufficiency. YOUTH MENTORING INCREASE IN Results from Garden Pathways mentoring 167 youth. The cost for Garden Pathways to mentor one youth for a GRADE POINT AVERAGE 45% year is $2,600. The lifetime cost of one high-risk youth is $2.6 to 5.3 million.
