The notation ‘[DP]’ in a rule in the NoR means that the penalty for a breach of that rule may, at the discretion of the protest committee, be less than disqualification. 1. RULES 1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). 1.2 The national prescriptions that will apply will be detailed in the sailing instructions. 1.3 Appendix P Special Procedures for Rule 42 shall not apply. 1.4 The Rules of each association shall apply. 1.5 A National Jury will be appointed for this regatta and the right to appeal will be denied. 2. ADVERTISING 2.1 Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the Organising Authority. If required, all boats shall affix any such advertising material as may be instructed and provided at registration. 2.2 Advertising will be in accordance with ISAF Regulation 20.9.2. Bow numbers will be supplied and fixed by the Organising Authority during measurement. It is the competitor’s responsibility to maintain the integrity of the numbers on the hull. 3. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY 3.1 The regatta is open to all boats of the Tasar, Laser, Pacer, Aero, Foiling Moth class. 3.2 Competitors shall be financial members of a yacht or sailing club that is affiliated with Australian Sailing. Competitors shall be members of a sailing club affiliated with Yachting Australia and hold a current Silver or Youth Card. 3.3 Eligible competitors may enter by completing the entry form and fee payment found on the MOFSC website: visit http://mofsc.com.au 3.4 Competitors will be required to agree to a waiver of liability as a condition of eligibility. This waiver is to be completed with the entry and indemnity form. 3.5 All competitors are required to register at the race office prior to 1100 Saturday 10th August 2021. 4. FEES 4.1 Required fees are as follows: Early Regatta Entry Fee Before $ 295.00 Including AMG standard fees Late Regatta Entry Fee. After 10th September 2021 $340.00 Merchandise can be ordered separately from Australian Masters Games 1

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS 5.1 Schedule Sunday10th October 2021 1200-1600 Offical Opening AMG Registration, measurement and boat inspections Monday 11th October 2021 0900-1100 Registration, measurement and boat inspections 1115 Regatta Meeting 1330 Race 1,2,3 Tuesday 12th October 2021 0800-0900 Officials Meeting (Board Room) 1030 Racing 4,5,6 Wednesday 13th October 2021 Lay Day Thursday 14th October 2021 1030 Racing 7,8,9 1700 Friday 15th October 2021 1030 Race 10 ( Reserve Race ) 1600 Presentation night (eve) Departure – container loading 5.2 A maximum of 10 races are scheduled for the series. 5.3 Under normal sailing conditions it is not expected that more than 3 races will be sailed on any day. 5.4 Subsequent races will be started as soon as possible after the finish of the previous race. 6. MEASUREMENT 6.1 Boat measurement and crew weights will be in accordance with the specific Class Rules. 6.2 It is the responsibility of each entrant to provide any supplementary weights necessary to ensure compliance with Class Rules. These must be presented at Registration. The Race Committee may reject at its discretion any form of supplementary weight it considers unsuitable. 6.3 Boats may be inspected for safety equipment and measurement compliance at any time during the regatta a declaration of compliance may be requested. 7. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS 7.1 The sailing instructions will be available at registration and on the Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club website http://mofsc.com.au/ or at registration. 8. RACING AREA 8.1 The racing will be conducted at Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club in Comet Bay adjacent to the yacht club. Mandurah is 1 hour south of Perth. It is easily accessible by road from Perth Airport. Mandurah is also part of the Metronet railway and is serviced by high frequency commuter trains that link directly to the Perth CBD. Refer to Attachment A for approximate race course location. 2
9. SCORING 9.1 The Low Point System of Appendix A will apply. 9.2 4 races are required to be completed to constitute a series. 9.3 When fewer than 5 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores. 9.4 When from 5 to 8 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score. 9.5 When 9 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her 2 worst scores. 10. SUPPORT BOATS 10.1 Team leaders, coaches and other support personnel intending to go on the water at any time during the regatta are required to register with the Race Committee by reporting to the Regatta Office and completing an appropriate registration form. 10.2 All support boats shall display the country or state of Australia (as approved at registration) conspicuously on each side of the outboard motor or similar location. 10.3 All support boats shall maintain a listening watch on the Race Management VHF Channel. 10.4 Team leaders, coaches and other support personnel shall stay at least 100 metres outside the area where boats are or may be racing from the time of the preparatory flag signal for the start until all boats have finished or the Race Committee signals a postponement, general recall or abandonment. Under no circumstances are any such boats to be inside the triangle at these times unless specifically directed by the Race Committee. 10.5 Support boats are required to render assistance if requested to do so by the Race Committee or a competitor. 11. TRASH DISPOSAL 11.1 Trash may be placed aboard support or official boats. 12. RADIO COMMUNICATIONS 12.1 Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones. 13. PRIZES 13.1 Prizes will be awarded to the first three positions overall for the Australian Masters Games. 13.2 Additional prizes will be awarded based on the overall AMG`s regatta point score in the categories as follows: 13.3 Australian Masters Games 13.3.1 Australian Masters Games Overall winners (First three positions) 13.3.2 Senior Champion (combined age 40 - 59 years) NEW 13.3.3 Masters Champion (combined age 80 - 99 years) 13.3.4 Grand Masters Champion (combined age 100 - 119 years) 13.3.5 Super Grand Masters Champion (combined age 120+ years) 13.3.6 First Female -highest placed female helm 13.4 All ages shall be calculated as at the 10th August 2021. 3
13.5 Additional prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the organising authority. 14. RISK, DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY 14.1 Competitors participate in the Event entirely at their own risk. See Rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta. 14.2 When stored at Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club grounds, all boats shall be kept in their assigned place and are stored there at the owners risk. 15. INSURANCE 15.1 Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of not less than AUD $10,000,000 per incident or the equivalent. 16. RIGHT TO USE NAMES AND LIKENESS 16.1 By participating in the 2021 Australian Masters Games, a competitor automatically grants to the organizers and sponsors the right in perpetuity to make, use and show, from time to time at their discretion, any photographs, videos, or other reproductions of him or her during the period of the competition without compensation. 17. CONTAINERS 17.1 Container placement will be in the grounds or close to the Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club and easily accessible throughout the regatta.
