Races and Race Course Main Race: 360 miles from Dubai to Muscat within 5 days. Escorted to Khasab by UAE Coastguard Escorted from Khasab by Oman Navy and RoP Sprint to the Corner: finish line at the Gap (and projected) Restart Race: If retired at the corner restart on Monday morning for the ‘indefatigable’ prize. We want boats to make it to Muscat Return Race: No return race is likely to Dibba this year due to Covid constraints

Covid Scenarios Oman Ministry of Sport and Sailing Committee have approved preparations for the race We will start working with Health Authorities in January to determine the Covid testing requirements • Scenario 1 – race as normal • Scenario 2 – some Covid restrictions • Boats can enter and berth in MBaR. But no passports. No-one leaves MBaR and no new crew arrive. Can stay for 24-28 hours to repair boats, re-supply, R&R. Then depart • Scenario 3 – Severe Covid restrictions • Oman waters are restrictions. • Virtual waypoint 12 nm off MBaR to round and head in to ‘Cat Island’. Round and return to Waypoint and Dubai. Re-supply vessel available at MBaR
Safety at Sea World Sailing ‘Safety and Sea Survival Course’ (SSSC) at DOSC • Required for Double Handed Crews 1. EPIRB is to be compulsory for • Recommended for offshore racers – not 2021 mandatory 2. AIS is strongly recommended but not compulsory for 2021 www.quark-elec.com 3. AIS is ‘likely’ to be compulsory from 2022

Immigration back at Dubai When arriving back in Dubai, boats MUST dock first at Port Rashid marina who will escort you to the cruise liner terminal outside Mina Rashid for passport immigration Covid health test requirements will be determined in January
