NORTHERN DOOR UNITED METHODIST CHURCH Calvary & Zion Circuit Rider –June 2021 ZION NEWS A Note from Myrtle Businesses in Door County are opening up for customers, some with limited Covid restrictions, others with none or as you desire. Everyone is looking forward to a good year with a speedy return to normal. Still travel with a mask in your pocket, just in case. Cherry blossoms are approaching peak. The orchards are really beautiful. The apple blossoms will follow soon after. Wild fruit trees also dot the roadside and fields. The Eagle Tower in Peninsular State Park is now open. Not as tall but quite spectacular. View great! Then, too, drive to Eagle Bluff Lighthouse. Cross the road to the trail. Take it a short way into the woods. The forest floor is a carpet of blue forget-me-nots. It’s awesome. Seems to go on forever. Zion will again be a rest stop for the Century bike ride that will be held this year. However, the indoor facilities will not be available. This was always a plus for the riders. Volunteer help will be needed to keep the food supplies available. Congratulations to our graduates: Ben Desotelle from NWTC and Maggie Moroney from Gibraltar High School. God be with you as you go forward claiming your future. Sunday, June 6, is projected as the date to relax all Covid restrictions at Zion. Again, we will see faces and not just eyes. You can still wear a mask if you prefer to do so. Juanita Alley has a new address—605 Chase Bvld #308, Sun Prairie, WI 54590. She hopes this will be the final move. Her birthday is June 1. She would love to hear from you. The window boxes at Zion, again, have flowers in them. It certainly brightens up the building. God is still in control. Jesus is still the answer. Believers must still accept responsibility for their part of the covenant. Myrtle Clark *****ZIONS CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING DATE**** Zion is having a church council meeting on June 17th at 4pm. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Zion will again be an Aid Station for the Peninsula Century Spring Classic bike ride on Saturday, June 19. We are in need six volunteers from 8:00 am-12:45 pm.
