parish RCIA program (Rite of Christian Initiation of
Adults). As an RCIA Sponsor you will accompany September 22

Join the Music Ministry!
Holy Trinity Catholic Church has a proud tradition of
making fine music for the past 110 years; the music itself
serves as an offering of praise and thanksgiving to God.
Our parish music ministry serves to inspire and uplift
voices, providing a program as diverse as its people. At
Holy Trinity, music for worship spans the entire treasury
of the Church’s repertoire, from Gregorian Chant
and Renaissance motets to the most contemporary
literature. Musical leadership at all Masses is provided by
choirs, cantors, and instrumentalists.
This ministry is continually seeking new members.
If you play an instrument or have a pleasant singing
voice, please consider one of our many music-making
opportunities. Holy Trinity is fortunate to have choirs of
differing styles whose primary purpose is to lead and
enhance the music at all liturgies.
The “Holy Trinity Choir” sings regularly at the 11:00
am mass. Rehearsals are each Wednesday from 7-9
beginning on August 18th.
The “Sunday 5 Band” sings regularly at the Sunday
evening mass at 5 pm with rehearsals at 3:00 pm.
The “Schola Cantorum” sings one Saturday a month at
the 5:00 pm mass rehearsals at 4:00 p.m. on the same.
The “Coro” provides musical support for the 1:00 pm
Sunday mass in Spanish.

Wednesday Morning Bible Study Update
The Wednesday morning Bible Study will begin with
a new study presented by Dr. James Lee. The study
will be presented on September 15, 22 and 29th. It
begins at 10 am and ends by 12 pm. The topic will be
How the Early Christians Read the Bible. Dr. Lee is an
associate professor of the history of early Christianity at
Southern Methodist University. He is also the Altshuler
distringuished teaching professor and director, doctor
of minsitry program.
Dr. Lee received a B.A. from the University of Notre
Dame, a M.A. from the Catholic University of America
and a Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame. His
teaching specialties include the History of Christianity,
early Christian spirituality and the Bible, theology of
Augustine, Christian mysticism, Eastern Christianity,
ecclesiology, monasticism, early Christian views of the
human person and salvation.
Dr. Lee has written various books and received
numerous distinctions.
