About the Awards Diversity and inclusion is not a corporate catchphrase but an organisational imperative in today’s workplace. It is clear that diversity and inclusion in the workplace leads to increased innovation, better opportunities for all and improved business performance, while companies that fail to capture and nurture this talent are missing out on opportunities to enhance their business model. The Diversity in Finance Awards 2019 have been designed to celebrate individuals and companies who are proven to be taking active steps towards a more inclusive, diverse and fair industry. Awards will be given to those individuals who have demonstrated their support for minority groups and their tireless efforts to promote and inspire those who are otherwise under-represented, as well as recognising companies whose policies, schemes or initiatives encourage and enable diversity in the workplace. This is an opportunity for companies to show how they are getting it right, and for employees to gain the recognition they deserve. Winners will be announced at an exclusive black-tie dinner and presentation ceremony on June 20th 2019 at The Townhouse, Searcy’s Knightsbridge.

Judging Individuals and companies will submit written entries to the awards, which the judges will review and whittle down to a shortlist for each category. The shortlists will be announced on the event website and in Financial Adviser magazine. Format: A panel of judges will be picked by the editorial team based on their expertise within the industry, reflecting a spread of companies and groups. There will be a minimum of 6 judges including at least one from the editorial staff. Conflicts: Any judge that either comes from a company/organisation that has entered, or has competitors that have entered, a particular category must exclude themselves from the judging of that category. All judging is done on the basis of criteria outlined in the entry requirements, but judges are allowed to take into account their own experience of liaising with entrants.
