IDENTITY OF THE DEAF
EUROPEAN UNION OF THE DEAF YOUTH (EUDY)
The European Union of the Deaf Youth is a European non-profit organisation whose
membership comprises of the Youth National Associations of the Deaf and Youth Sections of
National Associations of Deaf people in Europe. Established in 1987, EUDY is the only
organisation representing the interests of Deaf Young Europeans in Europe. Currently, EUDY
has 28 Full members, from Iceland to Romania, and from Spain to Finland. EUDY strives to
foster the personal development of young deaf persons with a sign language in Europe and
to further mutual understanding to advance and protect the rights of and opportunities for
young deaf Europeans.

YOUTH (SACDY)
SACDY is engaged in various activities of deaf children and young people, developing
education, support and deals with the deaf community, deaf solves the problems in their
lives and removes communication barriers. Part of the work is also organizing lectures in the
field of deaf community – World Youth, and also participates in various international
activities of deaf people at home and abroad. The main objective of our organization is to
maintain a culture of deaf education and raising the level of ordinary people. Represents,
protects the rights and interests of deaf youth in Slovakia.
PARTICIPANTS
Participants must be between 13 and 17 years old, following the birth year. This means a 13-
year-old person may participate in the Junior Camp if they are turning 12 in the year of the
camp. A person who will be turning 18 years old during the year of the camp will not be
allowed to participate.

The EUDY Junior Camp 2018 will take place from 21 - 29 July 2018 at Tesáre, Slovakia. Our
extensive recreational complex is located in the south-eastern part of Považský Inovec near
the vineyards of the village Tesáre. The building is surrounded by greenery of floodplain
forests and the river Chotina, which flows into the Tesárska water dam known for its unique
mineral spring Vajcovka. Water from this strand helps in digestion and digestive difficulties
and has a comparable quality to the well-known Piešťany springs.
Tesáre Recreation Center is 17 km from Topoľčian, 7 km from the Duchonka recreation area, 2 km from the village Tesáre and 120 km from Bratislava Airport. Its 3 hectares are among the largest resorts in Slovakia. Ideal location and equipment is suitable for sports events, nature schools, children's summer camps as well as short-term family stays.

VACCINATIONS
For Slovakia, there are no required vaccinations. However, it is encouraged to stay current
on routine shots e.g. (MMR and DPT vaccinations, poliovirus vaccine, Hepatitis A & B, etc.)
