SANTE FE, NEW MEXICO ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO Travel to Sante Fe for a day of Visit Albuquerque , New Mexico's largest exploration. Spend the morning hiking city. After arriving, head to the famous Bandelier National Monument, through Sandia Tram for an unforgettable view of a sweeping canyon to a ruin of the the surrounding area. Ancestral Pueblo people. Spend the afternoon exploring downtown Sante Fe including visiting the Georgia O'Keefe museum. Continue to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center to learn more about the Pueblo people and see some of their traditions in action. Start the following day with a Jeep tour of the surrounding wilderness before flying out to Nevada.
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA The final day with Cobbossee will be out of Las Vegas. In the morning the LITs will explore the Grand Canyon via helicopter! Followed by an afternoon ziplining over Old Town Vegas. They'll cap it all off with a Cirque du Soleil show before heading to California the following morning.
SANTA MONICA AND CATALINA ISLAND It's time for our LITs to make their way to the coast. First stop - the beach! Surf lessons with professional instructors followed by catching some So-Cal vibe in funky Santa Monica. The following morning, take the ferry over to the one-of-a kind Catalina Island, hopefully with dolphin sightings along the way! Explore and stay in the quaint town of Avalon. Enjoy a zip line eco tour and snorkeling the crystal clear waters of Avalon harbor. We will stay the night away from the bustle of the city getting a taste of California's natural beauty. MISSION SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO For the final full day of the trip our LITs will make their way down the coast to Mission San Juan Capistrano. Spending the day exploring and learning about this historic, cultural landmark is the perfect way to cap off their South West adventure.
RETURN TO CAMP Leaders in action Upon their return, the LITs will jump into life at camp. They'll be paired up with cabins and program areas, ready to put their new leadership skills into action. They will join cabins for rest hours, mealtimes, evening activities, and more. The bonds created with campers are unbelievably strong and powerful. LITs will also help teach in a specifically selected activity area (or areas), learning teaching skills from our experienced staff.
