WELCOME TO 2019 If I was asked to sum up the 2018 season in just one word, the word I would use is growth. It was a year of growth both on and off the field. In the off season we saw the appointment of a new Head Coach in Dan McKellar, making the step up from Assistant Coach, and the implementation of a different style of play to that we have used for the last few seasons, a return to running rugby, a style of rugby for which the Brumbies have always been synonymous. Significant change takes time, and, in this case, it was no different, but we stuck to our belief that we needed to make some alteration to our playing style and, as we saw in the last six weeks of the season, once it gelled we produced some of the most exhilarating and exciting rugby in the competition. We ended the season on a high with a crushing win over the Waratahs in Sydney, won four of our last five matches, including a come from behind win over the Hurricanes, kicked the ball less than any other team in Super Rugby and scoring 30% more tries than in 2017, crossing for 56 tries in one less match than last year. We continue to be a destination where players get better, 2018 saw seven of our players either selected for the Wallabies team, or for the extended training squad, and six of our youngster’s travel to France to play for the junior Wallabies in the U20 World Championship including captain Ryan Lonergan. As ever the sports entertainment market is a competitive one and we aim to provide you with the very best in matchday hospitality for the 2019 season. THE CHAMPAGNE BAR
The Champagne Bar is a new offering this season and offers an opportunity to experience
the Rugby in style. Located in a styled, private bar area with glass windows overlooking
the field, it includes substantial dining and beverages including a specialty champagne
bar. Your package includes reserved platinum seating outside or you can watch in comfort
from the airconditioned bar area. Sold as individual game tickets or individual season
tickets at a discounted rate.
