NEWSLETTER MAY 2021 DNEG WELCOMES ERIKA BURTON This month we welcomed Erika Burton, our new Executive Vice President, VFX - Global Head of Studios! Erika brings over 25 years of experience at places like Method Studios, Digital Domain, PDI/DreamWorks, Animation and Walt Disney Animation Studios. We’re thrilled to have her onboard. As part of her new remit she will work closely with Merzin Tavaria, President, Global Production and Operations – together they will oversee the organization of DNEG’s production capabilities and the efficient delivery of work across our global locations, while identifying and implementing process and workflow improvements. For our colleagues based in India - in Mumbai, Chennai, and Chandigarh - it has been a particularly difficult time as the country has been hard hit by the pandemic. We are proud to have been supporting local communities in the region, including our donations of 50 Oxygen Concentrators and 1,000 Ration Kits which were delivered recently to the State of Maharashtra, home to our main Indian studio in Mumbai. Our VFX work appeared in Academy Award-winning director Barry Jenkins’ Amazon Prime series ‘The Underground Railroad’, a 10-part adaptation of Colson Whitehead’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel.
