“I attribute my success to the
tutoring center. If it were not
for the extra practice, both
one-on-one and with groups
from my class with the tutor,
I definitely would not have
picked up the skills necessary
to achieve the grade I did or
get the practice I needed to Spanish
speak Spanish properly” Tutoring

Biology tutoring with Brandon became even
more critical when classes went online as I
no longer had a lecture provided. I almost
dropped during the week between classes
going online and STEM going online.
Brandon was so patient and really good at
explaining concepts that I was struggling
with. I absolutely would not have passed
without his help. Not only did I pass, I got
an A in both Bio 130 and 131! He made me
feel comfortable with asking lots of
questions. He also patiently explained Biology
things when I was so lost I wasn’t even sure
what questions to ask. I cannot imagine Tutoring
this semester without his help.

“Zoom tutoring is amazing and from the safety of
                   your own home “

“Every student should make a tutoring
  What Student appointment”
Who Used “Tutors are not your professors. They will help you,
Virtual Tutoring but will not always give the answer, but rather
guide you to come up with your answer”
    Want You to
Know “One thing I would want other students to know
about zoom tutoring is that getting a tutor is easy,
and it really helps you to complete an assignment.”

“Be prepared with what you need to work on”
“Sometimes asking for help is just as heroic
 as giving it”

You can come to tutoring ANY time, but here are some
suggestions about why you might reach out
• Because you are doing well and want to learn more
• Because you are starting to feel a little confused
• So you have a commitment to complete work early
• So you don’t have the stress of falling behind
• Because you feel the stress building
• Because you learn better with someone else
