Bergen • Second largest city in Norway situated on the west coast • Bryggen is UNESCO world heritage site (1979) • ~280 000 inhabitants • 2.7 millions tourists annually • September temperature 10–16 ⁰C – Rain must be expected!
VERTEX 2021 in Bergen • The conference would be co-hosted by University of Bergen and strong participation from the Particle Physics group at the University of Oslo • We are open to any week in September – If you provide a priority list of preferred weeks we will do the best we can to match it • The conference would take place as follows: – at a hotel in the city center, close to many of the attractions in Bergen – or at a nearby conference hotel

Coming to Bergen • Easiest is by plane: – KLM (Skyteam) – via Amsterdam – SAS (Star Alliance) – via Copenhagen – Direct flights from other destinations are possible, but with less frequent flights. • Typical prize from Geneva to Bergen (via Amsterdam/Copenhagen) is €300 - €600. – Total travel time is ~5 hours • Bergen Airport Flesland is located 18 kms south of Bergen – Airport bus (~30 mins) and – Bybanen (~43 mins) is the easiest transportation methods to the city center
