Jessica Atherton moves from the Junior Varsity Coaching Position to take over as the Cavaliers new head coach. As a former Carman- Ainsworth, Coach is looking forward to rebuilding the rich tradition and success of the Cavalier Volleyball Program. Coach Brown is building her young team into a quality Competitive Cheer Program and working with the girls during Sideline Cheer to build skills while supporting the football team.

The Cavalier Alumnus returns to CA with plans to rebuild the baseball program that he played in and that prepared him to continue his playing career at the collegiate level. The Cavalier Boys’ Track and Field Team produces All-League and All-State runners each year. The team has won Four State Championships and plans on winning a championship each year. Michaela Lewis is a Flint Southwestern graduate who went on to run for Grand Valley University where she was an All- American in the 4 x 100m relay. Boys’ and Girls’ Swim and Dive The Swim and Dive Team competes during the winter season. We are currently hiring a coach for this program and have excellent candidates who teach in the district and have extensive coaching experience. Cavalier Coach, Tim Nunn, currently holds the Flint city record with an 899 series, one pin shy of a perfect 300 for three straight games. Coach Nunn’s son was named Michigan’s Mister Bowler Award as a Cavalier bowler. Coach Nunn is a fantastic coach who can prepare beginning bowlers to be topnotch competitors. The Cavalier Girls’ Bowling Team is devastated by the death of their beloved coach, Paul Ballard who passed away during the 2020-2021 season.
Coach Joy Roe is in her twelfth year at the helm of the Cavalier Softball Program. Get your bat and glove and hit the field in a Cavalier uniform.

Carman-Ainsworth Athletes currently competing at the next level Several other athletes were recruited but did not have a high enough grade point average to compete for a college team. Most academic problems exist because athletes did not take their grades seriously beginning in 9th grade.

Virginia Commonwealth University VCU closed out it’s 2021 class this afternoon with the announcement from Jayden Nunn on twitter of his commitment to the Rams. Nunn was a decommit from Iowa State who saw interest from a number of other programs including Kansas, Butler and Arizona State.
