                  The 150th Show
On the 9th of October 2021, Camperdown P & A Society will
celebrate 150 years of the Annual Agricultural Show. The first
stock show was held 1870 on vacant land that the railway line was
soon to be built on. While the first show on the present site
located at the foot of the picturesque Mount Leura & Mount Sugar
Loaf Reserves was held in October 1881

The Camperdown P & A Society has a long history of community
involvement and service; today the grounds are home to six
community groups and are a valued resource for the community. It
was very fortunate that the local fore fathers had the vision to
acquire the land to showcase agriculture.

The P & A Society are one of only a few societies that privately
own their grounds, Our committee of 100% volunteers are
planning & working towards showcasing our local event to the
wider community with aall proceeds reinvested to improve the
showgrounds & its facilities, to benefit the local community

2020 show is set to be a celebration of the past 150 years of the
Annual Agricultural show and is an exciting time for the
community. The show committee are planning and working
towards having events and entertainment such as, Animal Nursery,
Reptile Displays, Kids Science Area, Fashion Parade (From then to
Now) Lost Arts hands on demonstrations, Vintage Showcases,
Rides, Games, Competitions, Stage Music and much more. We
would like to invite you to become part of this celebration!
