The Symposium on Water Chemistry and Corrosion in Nuclear Power Plants in Asia (Asian Water Chemistry Conference, AWC)
focuses on the latest developments in the chemistry and corrosion of nuclear power plants, covering technological improvements,
research and development, and operating experience (www.awc2019.org).
In addition to the traditional topics of chemistry in BWR and PWR systems, AWC 2019 will look at chemistry issues for new nuclear power
plants, accident tolerant fuel (ATF) designs, thermal hydraulics and decommissioning.
On behalf of the conference organizing committee and the Korean Nuclear Society (www.kns.org), it is great pleasure to welcome you

Conference Venue
The conference will be held on September 24 to 27 at Grand Ambassador Seoul Pullman in Seoul, Korea.
Seoul City – Seoul, the capital of South Korea, is a huge metropolis where modern skyscrapers, high-tech subways and pop culture
meet a lot of historic remains, palaces and street markets. Notable attractions include futuristic Dongdaemun Design Plaza, a
convention hall with curing architecture and a rooftop park; Lotte World Tower, the 5th world tallest building; Gyeongbokgung Palace,
which once had more than 7,000 rooms; and Jogyesa Temple, site of ancient locust and pine trees.

Please specify your presentation preference (Oral or Poster) when you submit your abstract. Full Paper Submission The deadline for the submission of full paper is July 31, 2019. Your manuscript should be uploaded to the conference website (www.awc2019.org). A full paper is recommended for all the oral and poster presentations. A confirmation e-mail will be sent after your submission. Conference Agenda and Program • Welcome Reception: September 24 (Tue), 2019 • Oral and Poster Sessions: September 25 (Wed) ~27 (Fri), 2019 The advance program will be released at the time of Author Notification and will include all paper titles and authors as well as the general layout of the conference. The final program for AWC 2019 will be released by August 20, 2019.
