PEY Eligibility Permanent Resident or International Student Canadian Citizen Year of study 2nd or 3rd full-time undergraduate Academic Good Academic Standing standing CGPA 2.0+ (at registration) • Engineering • Engineering Program of Study • Arts & Science • Computer Science at St. George Campus – Major/Specialist Required • Co-op work permit prior to starting your PEY documents (May - August 2018)
PEY Fees Application/Development fee Registration $125 Paid online - VISA, MasterCard, AMEX Posted on your ACORN account in August 2018 $975 - If you secure a PEY internship work term (through the career portal or independently) you are required to pay the $975 PEY administrative fee Other Fees Incidental Posted on your ACORN account in August 2018 fees - While on PEY, you are considered a part time student, you will have part-time incidental fees to pay to maintain this status
PEY Statistics Placements 2017-2018 Over 1000 Engineering & Arts and Science students secured PEY placements •Engineering = 750+ placements •Arts & Science = 250+ placements Salary 2017-2018 •Average Annual PEY Salary: $47,300

ESIP What is it? Engineering Summer Internship Program •Work-term length = 4 months (May-August 2018) •Full-time work •Paid •Average hourly salary ESIP 2017: $21.00 (range $15-30) •Heavy recruitment period: January- March •ESIP work-term may be credited to the 600-work hours requirement

ESIP What do I get out of it? Student Development Workshops and Appointments • Give vocabulary to your experience • Understand what makes you marketable • Discover your interests and learn how to search for opportunities that fit for you Access to the ECC Career Portal Support from the ECC staff Network with contacts in the various industries Increase your marketability for PEY or after graduation A great stepping stone for future work experience!
ESIP Why do Employers Hire? • Gain help in completing short term projects • Continue the work of previous co-op students • Assist in project delays or backlogs • Fill in for staff on vacation • Scout talent for PEY or full time recruitment • Have the support from the ECC staff • Eligible for a tax credit if they are within Ontario

Come speak with us if you need help making a decision Notes: • Students tend to enroll in ESIP in their 2nd year and PEY in their 3rd year of studies • Engineering students can do both ESIP and PEY
