Samoset Resort on the Ocean
A Historic Coastal Resort in Rockport, Maine
On 230 waterfront acres overlooking Penobscot Bay, the
Samoset Resort is a Maine vacation resort with a rich history
that dates back to 1889. Located in the tranquil town of
Rockport, just south of Camden, Samoset's signature hospitality
has made us one of New England’s premier luxury resorts.
Airport Details
Samoset Resort is located approximately two hours from the
Portland and Bangor, Maine airports. Members will be responsible for
booking their travel and renting their vehicles upon arrival as there is
no direct transportation to and from the airport to the resort.
Reservations
Deadline: May 6, 2022
Group Rate: $224 + tax and gratuities
Reservations can be made by phone at 1-800-341-1650, available
from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week, including holidays. Please
inform the reservation attendant that you are with The Georgia
Society of CPAs Annual Convention to get the group rate.
Attire Guidelines
Resort casual to all events, except the Chairman's Reception and
Banquet on Tuesday evening, which is resort attire. The Opening
Reception and Dinner will be held outdoors on Sunday evening,
weather permitting. It is recommended to bring a light sweater or
jacket as the outdoor temperatures in Maine can vary during June.

The Farnsworth Art Museum offers a nationally recognized collection of works from many of America’s greatest artists, with
20,000 square feet of gallery space and over 15,000 works in the collection. It has one of the largest public collections of
works by sculptor Louise Nevelson, while its Wyeth Center features works of N.C., Andrew and Jamie Wyeth.

Made in Maine, these award-winning wines are created in small, handcrafted batches
with grapes sourced from their vineyard and premier vineyards across the country.
When Cellardoor started handcrafting wines, the goal was simple: to make wines
that they were proud of and that guests enjoyed. They listened to guests about their
favorites, learned, and evolved the wine selection. They now offer a broad range of over
20 wines, appealing to every palate. Take this guided tour of the winemaking facility,
ending with three bites of food (cheese, salami, chocolate) paired with three wines.
Harbor Cruise

Lobstering & Lighthouse Cruise - During this trip, observe two lighthouses while
hearing the history of the bay. Also, haul a lobster trap and learn how it's done on
the rugged Maine coast. Passengers can sit back and take it all in or gear up and get
the authentic experience!

Take a two-hour day sail on the elegant Schooner Surprise out of Camden,
Maine, around the magnificent Penobscot Bay. On this Camden day cruise, see
lighthouses, wildlife, private yachts and summer estates. Cushioned seating is
available for all on board; a limited number of passengers allows guests a more
intimate and comfortable ride. The schooner is also on the National Register of
Historic Places and carries a fascinating history.
