East Meets West in The Lounge
Continuing on our reveal of “hidden gems” throughout the new Club, this month’s
cover showcases antique Chinese Bronze Sculptures, which are displayed in The Lounge.
Juxtaposed among more modern art pieces and furnishings, these sculptures make a lasting
impression among The Lounge’s discerning Members and guests.

A intimate space with elegant, cosy seating, exquisite artwork and ambient lighting, The
Lounge has quickly become a favourite destination for Members’ amiable gatherings — from
power breakfasts and lunches to afternoon tea and evening aperitifs.

Gourmet Gifts for Mid-Autumn Festival
Mid-Autumn Festival is right around the corner on 21 September,
and the Club will present a selection of luxurious hampers and
mooncakes to help you celebrate in splendid style.

A perennial favourite, The Peninsula’s delectable and beautifully
packaged Mini Egg Custard Mooncakes, normally priced at
HK$418 per box, are available at the Club with special member
prices. Please place orders by 4 September at reception, online
via our website, by email or by fax, for collection between
16 August and 20 September. Complimentary delivery is
available for orders of 50 boxes or more to locations in
Central.

For more an extravagant Mid-Autumn Festival gift, look no
further than the Club’s Deluxe Mooncake Hampers filled with
premium wine, tea, seasonal fresh fruits and a host of other
gourmet treats, plus, two boxes of The Peninsula Mini Egg

                                                         Building on the success of our Chef ’s Table dinners
                                                         in May and June, this intimate, interactive culinary
                                                         series continues with two exclusive events in July
                                                         and August. On Wednesday, 21 July join Chef
                                                         Lau in The Dragon for a private Chinese dining
                                                         experience and tasting menu paired with fine
                                                         wines, with the unique opportunity to interact
                                                         with the chef as dishes are prepared tableside. On
                                                         Wednesday, 18 August, join Chef David in The
                                                         Treasury for an incredible European menu and wine
                                                         pairing, including a chance to hear the inspiration
                                                         and stories behind these expertly crafted dishes.

  Embark on a culinary journey from the verdant vineyards of Tuscany to the
picturesque ports of the Amalfi Coast as The Treasury brings Italian cuisine to
 the forefront during July. Available during both lunch and dinner, select from
 authentic appetisers such as Ravioli of Guanciale made with Porcini Espuma,
mouthwatering mains such as Ossobuco alla Milanese with Saffron Risotto, and
      Bucatini al Gambero Rosso with Bottarga, dazzling desserts such as
       Marscapone Cream with Coffee Jelly and Kahlua Syrup, and more.

Get in the Mix with
                  Cooking Classes
This summer, the Club’s chefs invite both adults and children to
go behind the scenes in our professional kitchens with interactive
cooking classes. On Saturday, 31 July, budding chefs 6-years old
and up along with an accompanying adult may participate in
a dynamic, hands on Chocolate Making Class and tasting with
our chefs, right after a complimentary Dim Sum and Beyond
or Good to Grill lunch for the junior chef. On Saturday, 28
August, adults will be welcomed to learn how to create one of
The Dragon’s signature dishes Pan-fried Fillet of Chicken with
Galangal and Bell Pepper in Clay Pot (沙薑香煎湛江雞).

To design the ultimate summer dining experience, the Club is creating
prestigious pairings of rare wine vintages and expertly crafted seasonal dishes.

Available throughout July and August, these sumptuous wine and food pairings
include a light-bodied Domaines Schlumberger Gewurztraminer 2018 from
Alsace with notes of lychee and floral touches, paired with Ravioli of Guanciale
in The Treasury. A herbaceous Roger Sabon Chateauneuf-du-Pape Les Olivets
2018 from Chateauneuf-du-Pape with hints of liquorice, cherries, blackberries
and a touch of spice pairs perfectly with Sautéed Fillet of Wagyu Beef Cubes
with Japanese Green Peppers and Xanthoxylum Sauce (青麻雪花和牛粒) in
the Dragon. And more, join our wine pairing tour in this summer.
