New technologies enable citizens to directly address policymakers, making democracy more representative and participative. On the other side, this may increase the spread of fake news and disinformation. The project DIGITAL promotes collaboration among policy-makers and citizens from 15 countries, to stimulate democratic and civic participation across Europe, and to support democratic Union in the digital era. The topic of the event is "The future is digital" and it will be the occasion to discuss and exchange on the future of the European Union, the impact of the digital transformation, and the place of the citizen in this transformation. As you will see in the registration form, the DIGITAL event is part of the week of the 21st ALDA General Assembly where various events will take place, here.
