Tallaght – Rua Red Arts Centre

Multidisciplinary Workshop, Performance, Exhibition & Reading
Music, Theatre, Visual Art, Film, Digital Media, Creative Writing
Hosted by the Word Up Collective featuring hip-hop and urban musicians, and
spoken word artists such as Max Zanga (Tebi Rex), JyellowL, and local young
people. The performance is the result from a seven week programme where
participants produce to explore lyric writing around the themes of the
Democracia/Order exhibition and develop performance skills for the final
performance in the Rua Red’s gallery space.

Music Generation South Dublin Trad Collaboration
with Music Generation Wicklow
Traditional Music Concert Performance

Students from the Music Generation South Dublin Trad Ensemble will join forces
with Music Generation Wicklow for a workshop day facilitated by renowned
traditional piper and flautist James Mahon & friends. The young musicians will
work on original material, as well as traditional standards, and will aim to explore
improvisation opportunities throughout the day. The students will showcase their
work in a short concert for family and friends.
