                          Korea India Friendship Online Quiz

Abhinav Parewa from Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj is the winner of Delhi City Round

of 6th Korea-India Friendship Online Quiz Competition 2021 which was organised by

Korean Cultural Centre India and executed by Quizcraft Global. He will be part of National

Semi Final which will be held in October.

Chemistry Olympiad

An online ‘International Chemistry Olympiad’ was organized by the Chemistry wing of Basic Science
and Humanities Department of Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata on 25th
September 2021. Total 1808 students from different countries like Iran, Bangladesh and Nepal
along with India had participated in this International Event.

Yuvraj Dahiya, X-G, secured the 1st position. He will receive the prize money of $150.

16 students from DPS Vasant Kunj bagged the positions in first fifty.

                      Communication Portal for the Speech and Hearing Impaired.

Shivansh Kulshrestha (XI) has created a communication portal (www.lingocap.in) which was launched
nationally by the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri Ramdas Athawale on 26th
August 2021. Lingocap is the country’s first ever communication service that specifically caters to the
hearing and speech impaired community of India. The platform is the first of its kind to make real time
speech captioning available for video communication in five Indian languages.

Shivansh was also awarded Amazon’s AWS Activate Founder’s grant of $1000/- for this portal in May 2021.
The platform currently consists of more than 1,350+ active users comprising deaf schools, NGOs and family
members of the users.

Inspire Manak Award - 2020-21

INSPIRE MANAK AWARD-2020: Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research' (INSPIRE)
scheme is one of the flagship programmes of Department of Science & Technology (DST),
Government of India. The INSPIRE Awards - MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National
Aspirations and Knowledge), was executed by DST with National Innovation Foundation – India
(NIF), an autonomous body of DST, invited original ideas/innovations from students in the age
group of 10-15 years and studying in classes VI to X.

SHRIYA PANT of class VIII participated in the Inspire Manak Award-2020 and received a sum of
Rs10,000/-(Ten thousand) for her project work on the topic "Why are men suffering from Covid19
more than women?"

CHAMPION’S LEAGUE
Kushagra Arora of Class VII, is holding the 27th Rank, all over India, in the under 12
category. He has won under 14 Boy’s Single AITA Tennis Tournament held at
Karnal on 9TH August , 2021

Kushagra has won another AITA tennis tournament on 5th Sep , 2021.

Kushagra has added another feather in the cap by winning doubles category and
runners up in single category in Champion Series AITA National Ranking
Tournament organized from 20th – 25th September 2021.

EVENT REPORT

                                     BIZECO 2021

EVENT DATE – 24th and 25th July - 2021

VENUE – Online (Zoom)

A team of 20 students participated in the annual interschool commerce festival- Bizeco - 2021
organised by DPS Rohini. It was a grand event comprising of both online and offline events.

It consisted of 7 events out of which 5 were online and rest were offline and was based on
different aspects of commerce. Our school participated in all the events.

The students of DPS Vasant Kunj outdid themselves and bagged the first position in Crypteco
– a treasure hunt combining Pop Stars and Culture with the Business world as well as first
position in BSE (Bizeco Stock Exchange).

Our school also got OVERALL WINNER AWARD .
