3 Important Reminders 1) Consider course choices wisely – choose courses that are comparable to their aggregate scores for better fit and better chances of admission. Institution of choice Aggregate Scores Junior College L1R5 Millenia Institute L1R4 Polytechnic courses ELR2B2 ITE ELB4/ELR1B3/ELR2B2
3 Important Reminders 2) Make full use of 12 choices and indicate at least 2-3 courses where aggregate scores are much better than the previous year’s course cut off points. 3) Appeals for transfer to another JC are not likely to be successful unless aggregate meets the cut off points for JC of interest…
3 Important Reminders 3) JC mergers in 2019. With the mergers, the remaining JCs will be able to increase their intake of students in the 2018 JAE. This may result in an increase in cut-off points (COP) for participating JCs in the 2018 JAE. Such variations do not reflect the quality of the JCs or their programmes. Students should continue to choose JCs based on their distinctive programmes, CCAs and school culture, to develop their strengths and interests. For more information on the JC mergers, students may refer to Annex E of the JAE Information Booklet.
