CQUniversity Higher Education Academic Terms are listed below. For a full list of term dates, calendars
and their key dates, please visit https://www.cqu.edu.au/student-life/new-students/academic-
calendars. When we send you a housing offer, please check the default check-in and check-out dates
and alter if necessary at least two weeks prior to the check-in date.
The prices in each category differ based on length of stay. Students must apply for residency and accept
an offer, agree to the terms and conditions including completion of online induction and abide by the
Accommodation Handbook. For further information about Residency Agreements please contact us.

Accom change. No show fee is considered cancellation.
$20 discount A resident can have a guest stay for a maximum of 2 nights on a discounted rate. Guest of a Resident
per night Normal rates apply for each night after the initial 2 nights.
$50.00 Extended Stay / Late Departure Fee – guests due to depart can request to use the Guests
room until the afternoon instead of checking out by 10.00 am.
$20.00 Late Payment Fee – applied each week or part thereof that instalment payments All Residents
are overdue.
$50.00 Moving Fee or Cleaning Fee per hour – Moving Fee applies when a resident uses All Residents
a room and then requests to move before end of term. Cleaning Fee applies when
a Guest or Resident leaves their room in an unacceptable state.
$1,500 Fire Alarms – false activation (accidentally or on purpose).* All Residents
approx.
Cost of repair Deliberate or accidental damage or loss of College property All Residents & Guests
Min. $50 per Fire/emergency equipment – cover, damage or obstruct; CO2 extinguisher All Residents
breach or cost discharged; Dry chemical extinguisher discharged; Glass of a MCP is broken; Fixed
of repair or Standalone Fire Detector damaged (accidentally or on purpose).
Minimum charge $50 per occasion
* QLD Fire & Rescue Service will issue an infringement notice which the offender will need to pay.
