SCHOLARSHIPS At LKCMedicine, we offer exclusive scholarship awards for our MBBS students to recognise their academic excellence and leadership potential. Our scholarships are specially designed to fulfill the needs of our students. Read on for the range of scholarships offered! Shortlisted students will be invited for an interview.
TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIPS NANYANG SCHOLARSHIP NTU’s foremost undergraduate scholarship is awarded to outstanding freshmen pursuing undergraduate programmes. The Nanyang Scholarship recognises students who excel academically, demonstrate strong leadership potential, and possess outstanding Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) achievements. It is tenable for 5 years, subject to consistently good academic performance and satisfactory conduct. Eligibility Award Benefits Open to all nationalities Subsidised Tuition Fees (after Outstanding results in GCE ’A’ Tuition Grant) Levels, Local Polytechnic Living Allowance of $6,500 per Diploma, NUS High School Academic Year (AY) Diploma, International Accommodation Allowance of Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or $2,000 per AY (Applicable to Year 12 equivalent qualifications scholarship holders residing in NTU Excellent CCA records and strong hostels only) leadership qualities/potential One-off Computer Allowance of $1,750 One-off Travel Grant of $5,000 for overseas study/attachment programme
LKCMEDICINE SCHOLARSHIP The LKCMedicine Scholarship is offered to outstanding students aiming to pursue their undergraduate MBBS programme in NTU. It is tenable for 5 years, subject to consistently good academic performance and satisfactory conduct. Eligibility Award Benefits Singapore Citizens Subsidised Tuition Fees (after Tuition Outstanding results in GCE ’A’ Levels, Grant) Local Polytechnic Diploma, NUS High Living Allowance of $6,000 per Academic School Diploma or International Year (AY) Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Book Allowance of $500 per AY Outstanding contributions or attributes One-off Computer Allowance of $1,500 in other areas such as community service, student leadership, or sporting excellence TOH KIAN CHUI SCHOLARSHIP The Toh Kian Chui Scholarship is tenable for 5 years, subject to consistently good academic performance and satisfactory conduct. ASEAN UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP The ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship is offered by NTU for citizens or permanent residents from the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries, except Singapore. Eligibility Award Benefits Singapore Permanent Residents or Subsidised Tuition Fees (after Tuition Citizens from ASEAN countries (except Grant) Singapore). Living Allowance of $5,800 per Academic Outstanding results in GCE ’A’ Levels, Year Local Polytechnic Diploma, NUS High School Diploma, International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or Year 12 equivalent qualifications Excellent CCA records and strong leadership qualities/potential IRENE TAN LIANG KHENG SCHOLARSHIP Donated by the Estate of Irene Tan Liang Kheng, the scholarship is offered to provide opportunities to deserving Singaporean students. The award is tenable for 5 years of the programme, subject to the recipient maintaining satisfactory academic performance and professional conduct each year. Eligibility Award Benefits Singapore Citizens Covers up to $30,000 for each academic year Outstanding results in GCE ’A’ Levels, Local Polytechnic Diploma, NUS High School Diploma, International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or Year 12 equivalent qualifications Strong academic achievement, demonstrate desire to serve the community, possess compassion, and commitment to pursuing medical studies and medicine Priority for students from lower income families
SIM YUNG CHONG MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIP Donated by the Sim Foundation, the Sim Yung Chong Medical Scholarship is awarded to 1st year LKCMedicine students. The award is tenable for 5 years, subject to consistently good academic performance and satisfactory conduct. Eligibility Award Benefits Singapore citizens or Singapore Covers up to $15,000 for each academic Permanent Residents year Outstanding results in GCE ’A’ Levels, Local Polytechnic Diploma, NUS High School Diploma, International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or Year 12 equivalent qualifications Outstanding contributions or attributes in other areas such as community service, student leadership Priority for students from lower income families Preference will be given to applicants who are able to speak Mandarin OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS On top of the scholarships offered by NTU and LKCMedicine, MBBS students can also apply for scholarships offered by external agencies, such as the SAF Medicine Scholarship. FINANCIAL AID At LKCMedicine, we will ensure that no deserving student is denied education due to financial difficulty. Besides the financial aid schemes administered by NTU, LKCMedicine offers its own bursaries, specially intended for the needs of our MBBS students.

BURSARIES Bursaries are available for all financially-needy students pursuing their MBBS programme at NTU. To be eligible to apply, you should meet either of the following criteria: Per Capita Income (PCI) is less than or equal to $2,250 or Gross Household Income (GHI) is less than or equal to $9,000 The PCI is calculated as follows: Gross Household Income (GHI) PCI Total No. of Family Members in Household *GHI refers to income before CPF deductions. It includes income, allowances, overtime, commissions and other sources of income by family members residing in the same household as the applicant. HOW TO APPLY Students who meet the eligibility criteria for the bursary may submit their applications through the online admissions application portal between February to April. The bursary shall be tenable for the duration of the student's completion of the MBBS programme, subject to the candidate providing annual evidence of continued financial need.
