Welcome to Malaysia The WRE Malaysia My O Asia Cup 2018, is the first ever organized in Malaysia and in Asian, despite the fact that the organizers have the experience of hosting an international orienteering championship since 2013, this is the best time to organize a WRE event that is recognized by IOF. The organizer promises the best organization, an attractive route and map, the convenience of athletes participating in this event. The tournament will be monitored by IOF Event Advisor, who has been appointed to ensure that international standards are met. HISTORY OF PERAK STATE The state's official name is PERAK DARUL RIDZUAN. Perak means silver in Malay, which is probably derived from the silvery coloR of tin. In the 1890s, Perak, with the richest alluvial deposits of tin in the world was one of the jewels in the crown of the British Empire. However, some say the name comes from the "glimmer of fish in the water" that sparkled like silver. Darul Ridzuan is the state's Arabic honorific, and can mean either "land" or "abode" of grace. Registration and Info points will also handle the following sales: TRAINING MAPS will be on sale at Registration on Thursday10th May and Friday is 11th May for RM15 each. There will be approx. 10 – 15 controls in the terrain, which is across the road from the registration venue. The controls will stay in the terrain until 12,00h on 11th May 2018 EVENT MERCHANDIZE excess units of our high quality ‘Technical Tees’ will be on sale at registration from Thursday 10 May 2018 whilst stocks last. The Malaysia My O Asia Cup T-shirts cost RM30 – RM60, event merchandize RM10-RM50 SUUNTO COMPASSES are also still available for sale at RM110-190 while stocks last. On the Day Entries will be taken for the Sprint Distance and Middle Distance Courses. registration venues. Entry fee per day is RM30 including SportIdent Card On-the-day entrants are not eligible for mementoes or category prizes. Payment will only be accepted in cash (Malaysia Ringgit)
Start bibs The start bib must be worn clearly on the front of your shirt and may not be altered in any way. The following is printed on your start bib: Name, Club, Country, Competition class, Start Times, Sportident series number. If you lose or destroy your start bib, please contact the info desk at events to receive a new one. Electronic Punching The electronic punching system is Sportident. Sportident card can be hired from registration at RM 20 per day. Sportident backup labels will be provided in your registration pack, one label per day. Hired Sportident Card SI card must be returned at the finish of your last competition. In the event of loss or non-return, RM300 will have to be paid.
