A few words fromtheschool Principal
Dear parents,
Coming back to school and for the first time in middle-school
is an important event in your child’s life. This particular time can
generate lots of questions for the future students as well as for you
parents.
This document aims at answering your questions.
Middle-school often goes hand in hand with more
independence for the children. Sixth grade is an important year
because this is when the children learn good work habits.
Contrary to what one often believes, it is not yet time to let go
of your children! Well, not quite yet…

Particularities in Sixth Grade
Number of The numerous subjects, the change in schedule everyday, the different classrooms and dealing
subjects with lockers can be difficult in the early days.
Work expectations are very different from primary school.
Work If teachers are around to direct the students in class and advise them, a helping hand from the

Source of great anxiety, disappointment or stress. It is very important to put things into

efforts, that he learns willingly and that he is happy to go to school.
Sixth grade is a very tiring year for your child, great care must be taken to have them go to sleep
Rythm early enough so they can get sufficient rest. It is also essential to monitor the use of the mobile
phone and video games.
Social media It is highly recommended to keep an eye on the use of social media, in particular
when the children create groups, which can trigger conflicts and exclusion. MENU

6th graders to a school integration trip in the mountains…

SWIMMING Class
1st class : BRING your swimming suit at the first class.
Swimming classes will start on the week of September 13th according to your time schedule.
RELIGION Class
1st class must be attended by everyone : PRESENTATION
In case of exemption request: bring the letter with signatures from BOTH parents!
Classes start only at the end of Septembre – The time slot will be defined then.To conclude
