S C H OOL O F S A I N T A N T H O NY PATHWAYS Dear Parents and Guardians, Let me begin by thanking you for being our partner in developing Anthonians with wisdom and virtues. While the recent events that beset us were unexpected, we were able to successfully traverse this road as cohorts in education. Much appreciation is likewise extended to you for filling out the E- Learning Implementation Survey. Your honest responses enabled us to have a clearer picture of how to design instruction for SY 2020-2021 given this global pandemic. We are certain that you have some questions in mind about how the coming school year will take shape. Thus, allow me to present our plans for the students of SSA, including your participation in this process. Take care and God bless! In Saint Anthony Mary Claret, Mrs. Victoria A. S C H OOL O F S A I N T A N T H O NY PATHWAYS E-Learning Platform Online instruction though a combination of synchronous and asynchronous class meetings will be held. In synchronous class meetings, learning shall take place in real-time. Specifically, teachers and students will meet through a videoconferencing facility following official class schedules. In asynchronous class meetings, students are provided with materials for reading, lectures for viewing, and assignments for completing. This SY 2020-2021, as classes begin by July 13, we shall be holding lessons virtually. This shall be our official set-up until the Second Trimester from Preschool to Junior High School and until the Second Quarter for Senior High School. If we see improvements and an easing of quarantine restrictions during the last Trimester/Third Quarter, we shall be holding three days of online classes and two days of on-campus classes each week following DepEd, IATF, and WHO mandates. SSA also welcomes parents who prefer to have their children learn from home for the duration of the school year. Should this be your preferred learning modality for your child/ren, kindly let us know.

Teachers shall hold daily synchronous classes via videoconferencing. Here, the assistance of an adult companion at home will be needed to turn on/off the computer, go to the child's learning management system, upload activities/work, as well as assist in the completion of issued packets. Take note, however, that pupils should be able to independently accomplish their work as they progress in the school year. Middle School, Junior High School, and Senior High School Students will be given monthly worksheet packets to bring home apart from the textbooks to be received before the start of the school year. Teachers shall be holding both synchronous and asynchronous classes. For asynchronous classes, students will be enjoined to meet with their group mates, be in one-on-one sessions with teachers, access information, and demonstrate learning. Teachers will always be available for in-class instruction and consultation. He/She will take care of giving the direction for the answering of textbook entries, active note taking, recitation, and assessment.
S C H OOL O F S A I N T A N T H O NY PATHWAYS Parents'/Guardians' Participation At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child's success is the positive involvement of parents. - Jane D. Hull True enough, parents play a vital role in student development. We shall be requesting for your help at the onset of the school year so that your children, especially those in the Preschool and Grade School, as well as their adult companions at home, can log on to their devices and accounts, attach documents, and navigate their apps. Thus, we shall provide tutorials to you or your representative before classes officially begin. Preschool children will need companions to sit down beside them while synchronous classes take place while Lower School kids will need on call assistance. Do orient your children and their companions regarding our videoconferencing guidelines. Below are some examples for your reference: Meeting Space Use a common area in your home (dining room, living room, home office.) Dress Code Please dress as you would for in-class learning by wearing your school uniform. Video Keep your video on and be physically present in the videoconference.
