Activities will vary and the atmosphere will be safe and casual inside the building. Breakfast or snack must be brought by the camper. The use of cell phones will only be allowed before entering or after leaving the building. If there is an emergency please notify the office and the camper will be located. All registration closes 5 days prior to camp start date. (MG) Parents/guardians will be required to pay a late pick up fee of $5 if they are 1-10 minutes late; after 10 minutes the fee will be $1 per minute until the child is picked up. The late fee is per child. The person picking up the child will be handed a late pick up slip by the child’s instructor. The slip has to be signed by the person picking up the child and an invoice will be issued with the fee to be paid. SPRING 2022 bartlettparks.org BARTLETT PARK DISTRICT Preschool 9 Bartlett Park District Preschool Registration for the 2022-23 school year is currently open. Preschool is a DCFS licensed program that serves children from ages three to five: Preschool begins in September and ends in May. Our program follows U-46 for days off. • The Young 3’s program focuses on social & emotional development. Must turn 3 after September 1, 2022 and prior to beginning the program. • The 3 year old program focus on large/fine motor, social and emotional skills. Must be 3 by September 1, 2022. • The 4 year old program focus on developmentally appropriate activities that encourage learning. Must be 4 by September 1, 2022 • The Pre-K old program focus on preparing for kindergarten. Must be 5 by January 1, 2023. This recreational program is a play based early childhood educational program. We strongly believe in meeting the needs of the whole child and provide a curriculum that will prepare your child for later school success. Our goal is to plan daily experiences that will help the child develop physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually in a fun and safe environment. All classrooms are located in the Preschool Wing of Bartlett Community Center. We have a secure, private outdoor playground and the use of the indoor gymnasium for large motor skill activities. We welcome you and your child to visit our school. You can tour the facility, meet the teachers, ask questions and preview the classes in session. Tours are by appointment only. Please contact the Preschool Coordinator at 630-540-4853. Visit our website for summer class information. Summer classes are offered in the morning 2 or 3 days per week for ages 2.5-5 years old. Preschool Summer & Kindergarten Prep Offered: June 6th- August 5th Children will enjoy socializing and exploring while learning math skills, doing science experiments, fun with literature and handwriting, arts & crafts and so much more. This is a great time to get them exposed to learning and being in social settings before school begins in the Fall. All children must be toilet independent (no diapers/pull ups). This class will be held in our Preschool classrooms with our BPD Preschool Staff. Class options and registration available March 7. (KM)

The program includes instruction and exercises to help improve stamina and skills. Drills will be used to improve freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breaststroke. Each swimmer will work on the speed of their turns and learn when to utilize open turns, transition turns, and flip turns. We will practice starts from the blocks to improve reaction time and proper diving form.
