Acrylic Painting for Elementary Artists
Ages 8-10. Explore techniques in acrylic painting as you learn about color relationships, creating
texture, and adding shadows and highlights. Subjects for paintings will come from your close ob-
servation and from your own imagination. You will be working with canvas and creating finished
works that will be ready to hang or offer as gifts. 1 week $205 (includes $75 in fees*)

Adventures in Augmented Reality! NEW!
Ages 8-10. Watch as holograms come to life in the first ever augmented reality for kids! Work with
cutting-edge software to create holographic scenes that are viewable with a smartphone and a magic
futuristic cube. Student-created projects will be available on a password protected Black Rocket
website to share with friends and family. You will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

know and love haven’t ended. Learn more about Alex and Conner Bailey as you participate in ac-
tivities and play games that are only fit for The Land of Stories! Choose a folk or fairy tale character
that you would like to appear in the stories and create your own adventure. You should have read

vant technologies. You will build circuits as well as build and program robotic devices. Use a global
positioning system to play a high-tech game of hide and seek. Practice skills such as orienteering,
treasure hunting, and waymarking, better known as geocaching. Discover the FUNdamentals of

Meet Our Instructor Hope Corrigan
Hope Corrigan, a teacher at Kids on Campus since 2010, has been
sewing since she was 11 years old. Her crochet, sewing, and cross
stitch projects have won numerous ribbons at the Howard County
Fair. Ms. Corrigan uses her talent and experience to regularly lend
a helping hand by sewing, altering, and repairing dance costumes
for the Ballet Mobile, which brings inspirational ballet programs to
individuals at assisted living centers, hospitals, schools, and libraries.
In addition to her passion for sewing, she is a marketing professor
for the Loyola University Maryland Sellinger School of Business and
Management. She holds an MBA from Loyola University Maryland,
a master’s in textile chemistry from North Carolina State University,
and a bachelor’s in chemistry from Hood College.
Ms. Corrigan will also teach Crochet and Yarn Crafts (pg. 34),
Maryland Craft Class (pg. 49), and Stock Market Game (pg. 58).
