COVID-19 PROCEDURES The health and safety of our staff, participants, and spectators in our priority. The Germantown Park and Recreation Department has put in the following preventative measures in place. SUMMER 2021 STAY AT HOME IF YOU ARE SICK Staff are required to stay home when sick. If they become ill during work hours, they will be immediately sent home. They will be conducting a daily self-screening at home and are required to self-monitor their symptoms. Participants and spectators may not attend a Recreation Program if they have had any of the following COVID-19 symptoms 24 hours prior to the participating/spectating: cough, chills, muscle pain, shortness of breath/difficult breathing, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, or temperature of 100.4 degrees or above. Parents/guardians will be asked to take their child’s temperature before attending if warranted. AVOID CLOSE CONTACT Class sizes or groups will be reduced to minimize exposure and spread of viruses. All individuals should avoid congregating in common spaces or parking lots before, during, or after recreation programs. Contactless drop-off and pick-up will be utilized when possible for youth programs. Parents are asked to limit the number of spectators that come to watch programs that are outside, and we ask that they please adhere to social distancing by staying 6 feet apart from other families. There will be no physical contact after the games such as high fives and fist bumping. FACE COVERINGS/MASKS Please follow the mask mandate for Wisconsin. The Park & Rec. Dept. will not be providing masks so please bring your own. CLEAN AND DISINFECT Cleaning and sanitation practices will be Germantown Park & Recreation Department increased based on CDC and health department guidelines. Shared equipment will be wiped down after use. Hand sanitizer will be made available. We will do our best to provide children with their own supplies to use during class (crayons/markers, etc.) or request that parents bring minimal items for classes. WASH/SANITIZE HANDS Participants should wash their hands before and after class. We will encourage hand washing during classes as well. PAWS AND POSE - Pet Photo Events Hosted by Germantown Recreation Dept. and Paws and Reflect LLC Pet Grooming Come get a FAMILY FUN photo of your pet and help support HAWS (Humane Animal Welfare Society). Photos will be $10 per pet and half of all photo proceeds will go to HAWS. We will have props or various hats for you to use at the event.
