Mission Viejo February Community of Character Unity City of Mission Viejo Committee Opportunity The City of Mission Viejo is seeking adult and student members for our Community of Character Committee. The committee helps to plan activities and outreach to promote good character in our schools and community at City events and through various programs. Committee membership is open to residents and also to students (grades 8 through high school) who attend a Mission Viejo school, even if they live outside of the City. This Committee offers teens opportunities for leadership, event planning, and involvement in City activities. It also provides a fun way for students to strengthen their high school resumes, make a difference in their community, and to fulfill their service hours requirements! The Committee meets the first and third Wednesday evenings each month at 5:30 p.m. The meetings are currently being held by zoom, and we hope to resume in person meetings when it is appropriate. For more information and an application, contact Vickie Sullivan, vsullivan@cityofmissionviejo.org, 949-470-8436, or Council Member Trish Kelley, trishkelley@cox.net, 949-285-0309.
