MAPLE MARQUEE HOME OF THE MUSTANGS! May 6, 2022 Upcoming Calendar Events STUDENT REGISTRATION FOR THE 2022-23 SCHOOL YEAR Student registration for the 2022-23 school year is now open. Letters were mailed to families in a white envelope marked REGISTRATION INFORMATION ENCLOSED on April 21. This letter contains everything needed to complete the online student registration. Please Note: If you are unable to sign into your previously created Parent Portal Account, visit district30.org/parents/parentportal for steps to reset your account and other Parent Portal Guides. Click here to view important dates Please be advised of the following: •Schedule annual physicals soon as appointments ll up quickly during the summer •Classroom teacher and advisory assignments will be placed on hold until any outstanding balances are PAID IN FULL •Outstanding balances are due and include: ◦Lunch accounts with Quest ◦Transportation fees with First Student ◦Technology fees for damaged or misplaced equipment ◦Library books/fees/ nes •8th students will be required to pay any outstanding balances prior to Graduation 1 fi fi
The Maple Spring Concert will be held on Monday, May 9 at 7:00 pm in the west gym. Seating is limited to two audience members per musician. The concert will also be live streamed at this link: Spring Concert Live Stream. Enjoy! TESTING RESUMES AFTER POSITIVE CASE Students will resume SHIELD testing 90 days after a con rmed positive case of COVID-19. Please contact Lauren Schulman lschulman@district30.org should you have any questions. SUMMER SCHOOL 2022 Registration and Volunteers Get excited for summer! There is still time for D30 families to register for the 2022 summer school! Check out our website for the registration link and more information. Do you have middle school or high school students interested in volunteering this summer? Please have students complete the application here. *In order for middle school students to volunteer, they need to be registered for at least two classes and can volunteer the remaining blocks. Please email summerschool@district30.org with any questions. LEW BLOND RUN The 21st Annual Lew Blond Memorial 5K Run/Walk and the NEW “Little Lew”, will be held at 8:00 am on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Maple School. Sign up HERE by April 30 to save on the registration fee and guarantee yourself a race t-shirt. Flyer Link Here WEDNESDAY BELL SCHEDULE With SHIELD testing now being offered for all Maple students, vaccinated and unvaccinated, we are adjusting our Wednesday bell schedule to accommodate those testing windows during the nal four periods of the day. Please review this bell schedule which will only be implemented on Wednesdays. Please also note the change in lunch times if you plan to volunteer or need to drop off items for your student. STUDENT VACCINATION STATUS Fully vaccinated (two weeks past the second dose of the vaccine) students do not need to quarantine if identi ed as a close contact unless demonstrating symptoms associated with COVID-19. Please help us maintain accurate records regarding the vaccination status of our students. This information will assist us in keeping as many students in school as possible. Keep up with local and District 30 rates on the following dashboards: • North eld Township COVID-19 Elementary School Local Public Health Dashboard • COVID-19 Case Dashboard District 30 Vaccination & SHIELD Screening Testing Dashboard PROCEDURE FOR CALLING YOUR STUDENT OUT FOR APPOINTMENTS Notify the health of ce at 847-400-8908 no later than the morning of the planned appointment in one of two ways: • 1) Call the nurse 847.400.8908 or the front of ce 847.400.8900 directly before 9:00 am OR 2) leave a message on the health of ce answering machine any time after 3:35 pm and before 8:35 am. • Share the following information: date and nature of the appointment, time you will be arriving to pick up your child, and how long your child will be gone from school • Please call the health of ce when you are on your way and approximately 5 minutes from school. We will call your student out of class and have them wait for you in the of ce. • When you arrive, come into the vestibule of the main entrance (door A) and your student will be sent out to you. MAPLE PTO COMMITTEE CO-CHAIR POSITIONS AVAILABLE We invite rising 6, 7, and 8th grade parents to consider volunteering for a Maple PTO committee co-chair role. Covering a variety of activities and commitment levels, the co-chair positions are a great way to meet new people and get involved at Maple! The committee chair responsibilities are described in the signup link. Some committees are one- year commitments, and others are two-year commitments. The deadline to sign up is Friday, May 20th. MAPLE MARQUEE HOME OF THE MUSTANGS! May 6, 2022 SPECIAL LUNCH SURVEY The PTO is planning next year's Special Lunches, and would appreciate feedback on this year's program. Please take a few minutes to participate in our Special Lunch survey. All responses are anonymous, and will help us continue to improve our offerings. Thank you! Special Lunch Survey Link: Survey Link Here SPECIAL LUNCH - WEDNESDAY, MAY 18 Special Lunch will be on Wednesday, May 18, and the restaurant will be Viccino's. Quest will not be serving lunch on this day. You have until Noon on Tuesday, May 10 to sign up for lunch. If you have not registered with Marlas yet, it's not too late! Registration details for new users are as follows: 1. GO to: marlaslunch.boonli.com (bookmark that page) 2. Click on Register then Create an Account. The School Password for your school: MES298 (case sensitive) 3. Sign In with your username & password 4. To begin ordering click on the calendar date. This will be the last special lunch for 8th graders. 6th and 7th graders can sign up for May and June dates SCHOOL SUPPLY SALE BEGINS TODAY Our online school supply store is open!
