Thank you to the amazing team of parents who worked prior, during and after the event. Your tremendous efforts ensured a brilliant night for all who attended. Thank you to everyone who donated or sourced donations for the evening. Your efforts raised much needed funds for our school and we are estimating that we have raised in excess of $4000 for Glen- rowan Primary School. I hope we can repeat this event in 2021 as it not only raises significant funds, it’s also a great event for bringing the wider school community together. At assembly I shared the plaque that we have placed at the school’s entrance. The plaque further demonstrates our understanding and commitment to Indigenous history. In 2018 our staff completed (over several PD sessions) an Indigenous Cultural Understanding course. We used the funding provided to purchase the plaque. Checkout the plaque at front entrance. Today we again welcomed our 2020 Foundations students to school for a morning session. These children are increasing their confidence through each visit and today spent some special time with their allocated buddies for next year. Regards, Colin Robson, Principal
TRIVIA NIGHT What a wonderful evening we all had last Friday night at the Glenrowan Primary School Trivia night. We made a profit of approx. $4300 and this would not have been possible without the work of the Parents and Friends Association and the following individuals and businesses who donated goods for auction and raffle prizes. Thanks also to our Auctioneer and Trivia host, Mr Colin Robson and to all who attended and took part in the trivia and purchasing of the goods. Thank you to all involved. From the Kitchen From the Kitchen The pasta machines were out again in the kitchen last week, and students from both classes enjoyed making fet- tuccini. A delicious but simple tomato sauce was the accompaniment, and also, lots of crusty Herby Garlic Bread. Both classes had the opportunity to pod and taste some enormous broad beans (magic beans as the juniors refer to them!). Mr A’s class added them to their Silverbeet and Ricotta Fritters, and Miss Hammond’s class enjoyed their magic beans with their tomato sauce on the fettuccini. One group from the F/1s picked some beautiful strawberries from the garden (supplemented with extras from Coles), and had a great time dipping them in chocolate (along with their fingers!). Thankyou to all the wonderful helpers who came in to work with and encourage all the students. We are still looking for people to help out with the washing roster. Please let the office know if you can assist. Thank you to Summer’s mum who washed the aprons last week. Thank you Rosalie
