About Us Terrance and I met when his family joined the church I was attending in east Texas in 1989. We became very close and remained so for 30 years. After reconnecting romantically in 2016, we dated for six months before he proposed on Christmas Day. We were married soon after. Our wedding was the most wonderfully romantic and personal experience. We wanted the day marked by love, God, and individuality. Only telling immediate family, we flew to the Grand Canyon with our girls and were married at sunrise by a dear friend who is also a minister. To our shock and delight, it was snowing! God decorated for our wedding. We marveled at our winter wonderland as we said our vows by the edge of the glorious rim. Pink and purple hues flooded the darkened horizon as elk wandered nearer in attendance. I felt like God’s princess.
We Love... We love to travel, visit new coffee venues, and sit and talk about the mysteries of life, people, and the Word of God. We love to dream together, laugh, work with our horses, do yard work, and redo yard work. We love trying brand new things together—I am the brave one! We enjoy cooking together, creating songs, and writing blogs. We’re passionate about finding creative ways to invite our neighbors into a relationship with Christ.
Lisa by Terrance Lisa can walk into any room and leave it brighter, better, and more beautiful than before. Her positive disposition is powerful and contagious. Always able to find the best in people, she also helps others see the best of themselves. She is strong yet gentle—resilient and compassionate. Her beautiful eyes and smile drew me in, and her elegance, humility, and deep love for people have held me captive for three decades. She has a dry humor that will initially catch me off-guard and then make me laugh uncontrollably. She sees the hard-to-see things—the most important, worthwhile parts of life. In turn, she allows me to also slow down and open my eyes and mind to the beauty of the world around us. I’ve never seen a child without a huge smile once Lisa captures their attention. In just a moment, she can find something she has in common and connect with them instantly. She puts children far ahead of herself. An incredible listener, you’ll find her sitting criss-crossed on the floor, listening to every story told. Any child would find Lisa to be an amazing encourager, teacher, friend, and safe place. She adores children, and children know it!
Lisa loves yoga, writing, reading, making art, being in nature, our horses and pets, playing meditative musical instruments, and homeschooling Emily.
Terrance by Lisa Terrance is my best friend and the love of my life—I can’t imagine being with anyone else. He is the most creative and gifted person I have ever known and still also the most humble. He lights up a room wherever he goes and has an amazing capacity to love—he’s never met a stranger. I was initially drawn to Terrance by his individuality and his creativity. He is not afraid to be himself, which I find very attractive. His doe-like eyelashes have made my teen heart flutter decade after decade. Terrance is my hero; I just adore him. Terrance makes everything fun. His magnetic personality draws everyone in, and children are no exception! He is animated and funny and REAL. Children sense authenticity and feel understood and loved with him. He gets down on their level and interacts in ways that genuinely engage—he simply glows.
Terrance loves to create, write and produce all genres of music, work with wood, train dogs and horses, learn new things, travel, spend time with friends, cook, clean, meet new people, laugh, and serve in any way.
Haley Haley is a bundle of energy! A dedicated and hard worker, when she sees a need, she is eager to meet it. She loves deeply. Haley likes to make us laugh and creates beautiful memories in every moment. She enjoys dancing, soccer, photography, friends, tubing on the lake, fishing, mission trips, church activities, and horses.
Emily Emily is intelligent, highly artistic, loving, empathetic, creative, unselfish, and loyal. Children are drawn to her sweet personality. She enjoys drawing, writing, playing games, going to church, traveling, doing yoga, being in nature with her horses, her cat, and time with her family. She also loves Pokemon.
Pipe r In July of 2020, we adopted Piper Wren Rose, our precious gift from God. We embarked on a family road trip across eleven states to bring home our little giggling bundle of joy. Piper is nearly always smiling and laughing. She has a God-given ability to make those who are around her forget their troubles and just feel the presence of God. She loves music, Veggie Tales, applesauce, playing with Mommy and Daddy, and cuddling her dolls. Piper has brought immense love and joy to our home, and we know she would adore a little sibling to grow up with. Our family is not complete yet. We know in our hearts we are intended to parent another child. All of our arms, big and small, are ready and excited to embrace a new baby — we have so much more love to give!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Home We live in a beautiful brick house situated on six serene acres with an expansive horse pasture and barn. We love the space inside and out. Our home is a large, two-story open-concept with three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths. We have hardwood floors, a den with a library, an office, a large eat-in kitchen, a formal dining room, a small art room, and space for more. Our property is private and secluded but also centered in a very safe and beautiful equine community. Life in the country is wonderful! We love our fruit trees and daily deer sightings. We are just ten short minutes from town where there’s a hospital, doctors, dining, shopping, parks, and schools. It’s the best of both worlds! Our community is an equine – friendly community. Most have horses and spacious green areas. A creek that runs through it, winding under two quaint stone bridges, for all to enjoy. Our town is very connected and creative. Our community is diverse in age and race, and many artists live here, sharing their gifts and talents with us all. The family atmosphere of love and loyalty is warm and welcoming to neighbors and newcomers alike.

We make green pancakes and muffins for breakfast on St. Patrick’s Day, and we pop firecrackers on the 4th of July and New Years. For Halloween, we enjoy decorating pumpkins, going to pumpkin farms, riding on hayrides, playing in leaves, and enjoying the fall weather. On Thanksgiving, we cook together and eat our favorite recipes from both sides of the family—we even added turkey hats last year! We decorate BIG on Christmas! We are active in community and church activities over the holidays, and last year, we also began the tradition of attending the symphony to hear Handel’s “Messiah” and see The Nutcracker ballet. We wear family Christmas PJs and decorate cookies too! For our traditional midnight photo to ring in the new year, we wear glowing glasses. We love to attend community concerts, decorate eggs, and participate in all the church activities on Easter. Birthdays require decorating the house and singing the birthday song at midnight, and on Earth Day, we plant new things outside. For our anniversary, we share a family trip to the mountains.
