DEAR HOLY FAMILY PARISHIONERS: This Wednesday, April 21st, is Administrative Assistant Day, formally known as Secretary’s Day. And our parish is SO fortunate to have two EXCELLENT women in that role for us! Our parish secretary is JOANNE KATER. She is my right hand person, keeping an eye on me & helping me to find throughout the day my keys, water bottle, & phone. I can’t begin to tell you how grateful I am to Joanne for her expertise, counsel, work ethic, professionalism, friendliness & MUCH more. How fortunate HF is to have her at the helm. I kid her often that she is the pastor—-ha!! Please pray for her on her special day. Send her a note of gratitude for ALL she does for so many. Moving on to the school we have PAIGE BRUMIT as the secretary. She keeps all things organized & in proper order at HFCS. She is efficient, humorous, & welcoming. Our students, staff, & parents are very lucky to have her as the first face you see. She is the principal’s go-to person. I am very thankful for her presence at the school. Please pray for her, also, this Wednesday. And, send her a note of thanks for all she does. YOUR PASTOR, FR. JOE P.S. Please note the following change in church for seating—The Ramp section (far left) in the church is now OPEN, meaning that ALL pews in that section may be used for seating. No chains up as before. If you have been vaccinated/feel comfortable being next to others, then you are invited to sit there. The other 3 sections in church will remain as they have been. Masks are still required for the time being. Let us strive to help each other be as safe as possible. As to singing, let the Holy Spirit inspire you, but if you do choose to sing, you are to wear a mask!!! PLEASE NOTE: Bishop Paprocki has lifted the dispensation from attending Mass on Saturday evening & Sunday morning. That means that all able-bodied Catholics are to come to celebrate Mass from now on. The Bishop is maintaining a particular dispensation in the following areas: 1) Those 65 years of age or older . 2) Women who are pregnant. 3) Those who care for the sick. 4) Those at risk for severe illness. 5) Those who can’t be accommodated because the church is at COVID capacity. If you are currently ill, have a fever or flu-like symptoms, or have good reason to think you are asymp- tomatic of a contagious illness, you DO NOT need a dispensation & are morally excused. SAINT OF THE WEEK—ST. ANSELM—-APRIL 21ST Anselm was born in Italy & later a Benedictine monk, abbot, philosopher, & theologian. From 1093-1109 he was the Archbishop of Canterbury. He died in 1109. He was a Doctor of the Church & the “Father of Scholasticism.”
