Call to Worship, saying together: Rev. Larry Moyer, worship leader We worship God who loves us, inhabits our world, and indwells our lives. We look around to see God at work; within ourselves, beyond ourselves, as we read Scripture and pray, as we work for peace in our world. We worship God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit who loves us, loves me right now! Let us worship God! Music: All Who Love and Serve Your City (04) (Video Lyrics provided on FaceBook Live) Prayer for Illumination: (let’s pray together saying…) Loving God, as we hear your word proclaimed, keep our hearts and minds open to the Good News as we learn, grow, and serve. AMEN. Message for Kids: God’s Promises and Ice Cream Prayer: Message— An Abundance of Hope! (What we learn from ice cream, without wooden spoons!) Rev. Dr. Kevin Yoho, transformation pastor Romans 5:1-8 (NRSV) Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand; and we boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God. And not only that, but we also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces CSPC Online Worship Guide v1 Page 2 of 7 June 14, 2020
hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us. For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. Indeed, rarely will anyone die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person someone might actually dare to die. But God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us. Silent Reflection: (05) Call to Reconciliation: God loves you. God welcomes you. God sees you. Nothing separates you from God’s love. In a spirit of gratitude and honesty, let us say together: Prayer of Forgiveness: Good morning God, our Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer. Forgive us for hurting or neglecting others, missing opportunities to live like Jesus. When we waver, give us courage. When we doubt, give us strength. When we refuse, realign us. When we forget, remind us. When we ourselves cry out, send your tenderness in another. When we hear the cries of others, turn us toward them. When we want to hide, draw us out. When we go out, let us shine with your glory and light. Help us to love, welcoming all, through Christ, our Lord. Amen. Silent Reflection (Consider- However you may feel right now, you are loved in Christ!) (06) Hear the Words of Assurance: In the name of Jesus Christ, the risen Lord, God loves and forgives us to live the resurrection life so that we show love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self- control in our life every day, which is the fruit of the Spirit. Thanks be to God, we are forgiven! AMEN. Music: The Gloria (07) Silent Reflection: (08) CSPC Online Worship Guide v1 Page 3 of 7 June 14, 2020

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing. Know that the Lord is God. It is he that made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name. For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations. CSPC Online Worship Guide v1 Page 4 of 7 June 14, 2020
New Testament Reading: Matthew 9:35-10:8 (NRSV) Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and curing every disease and every sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Then Jesus summoned his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to cure every disease and every sickness. These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon, also known as Peter, and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; Simon the Cananaean, and Judas Iscariot, the one who betrayed him. These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Go nowhere among the Gentiles, and enter no town of the Samaritans, but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. As you go, proclaim the good news, ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. You received without payment; give without payment.
