WE ARE BACK!!! WELCOME TO OUR 20TH ANNUAL ART OF WINE & FOOD EVENT PRESENTED BY ALLEGHENY FINANCIALGROUP AND ASSOCIATES IN OPHTHALMOLOGY. Thank you so much for attending tonight’s event to lend your support in serving homeless families in our community. The COVID-19 pandemic has deepened socioeconomic disparities in our region. Raising a family as a single parent today requires more time, energy, and resources than ever before! HEARTH knows the challenges that single parents face when trying to provide for their children. Because of your generosity, you are ensuring that everyone has access to live in safe, affordable housing. VISION Every family and individual lives in safe affordable housing. MISSION To provide a range of supportive services and housing that empowers homeless families, who are survivors of domestic violence or other trauma, to become independent, self-sufficient, and adequately housed; and to foster housing opportunities to prevent homelessness and encourage safe, affordable housing. HEARTH is a transitional housing program, to serve and empower homeless families with dependent children, who are in need of transitional housing as a result of domestic violence or trauma and who are committed to work toward self-sufficiency. Since opening in 1995, we have served more than 1,000 individuals including 350 women and over 650 children. OUR VISION, HEARTH provides a safe, stable home so our supportive services can be more effective in moving families toward self-sufficiency. By requiring program participants to go to school, attend life skills training, and work through individual issues during case MISSION management sessions, they are not only changing their future, but their children’s future and future generations. Once they leave our program, they will earn a decent wage and understand what it takes to maintain employment. If they again hit a bump in the road, they will have skills and a variety of resources in their back pockets and not end up & VALUES homeless again.
